Im sure it will be subtitled.
Ans this stream is on at a horrible time in California. 2 am. I actually get up for work at 4 am. Will have to just rewatch the show post stream and avoid spoilers.

How many hours till the stream starts ?
The stream wasn’t subtitled last year and the year before.
And the time is perfect for East Asia.
Lucky me, it’s when I wake up to get ready to work. So I’m good.
I thought they did but i didnt watch it live last year so someone must have reuploaded with subs later.
Imo it doesnt matter for me because its about the announcements and the details i can read up on later.
There will probably be segments for Minecraft, Flight Simulator and possibly Age of Empires. Last year we saw Japanese games added to Game Pass- it was where we saw A Good Life and AI: The Somium Files (I think) for the first time. I expect we’ll see a few Japanese indy games as well- one of the initiatives that Microsoft funds is an independent developers initiative that helps indy games get made.
People want to see new announcements of games coming to the platform, but I have the feeling that publishers prefer to announce games at their own presentations. So if we get anything it will be from Tango Gameworks.
I am wondering what Phil Spencer and Sarah Bond will be introducing during the presentation.
After the RGG Summit, I think there is even more chance they could announce Yakuza Judgment and Last Judgment on Game Pass at TGS.
It is certainly not the case for State of Plays…
It’s the same thing with Xbox and these shows. Just don’t expect much overall and you won’t be disappointed. Watch for a tidbit of news and updates on things coming down the pipeline soon, anything other than that is a reach.
Just like usual the atmoshpere around Xbox showcase is “make or break” ![]()
And I’m getting annoyed by that, everytime Sony is doing something, you would think Xbox is on the cusp of disappearing. People have to really calm down.
I think it’s mostly worth remembering a large part of this is going to be taking stuff we’ve already seen and highlighting it for a Japanese audience, it’s not necessarily going to be the most interesting for us specifically for the most part - though I do still hope there’ll be a couple things.
Very true as well. Temper expectations.
People haven’t realized yet what is coming in terms of games from Xbox 1st party for the rest of this gen, we are talking about upcoming games from some of the best studios in the industry with the backing of MS behind them. When the next games from id, Turn 10, Playground, Bethesda, The Coalition, Tango, Arkane, Obsidian, InXile e.t.c. start hitting Xbox/Game Pass only then a lot of people will have a reality check…and I am talking about both fans and haters.
This gen there is nothing to “break”, Phil and the rest of the team are already “making” and recovering lost grounds (in Japan for example). Series will be a beast of a system software wise, anyone who thinks that a lost game from a certain publisher can “break” this train is delusional and should be prepared for a lot of rude awakenings for the rest of the generation.
That’s true. I think it’s just the waiting and waiting and…waiting that is getting to people. We haven’t seen the fruits yet of these huge acquisitions. This could have been the year with two big titles but alas. I mean, the SOP was a fine stream but I think some people are going a bit overboard.
Like a Dragon Ishin is coming to Xbox, another game is coming to Xbox, the one with that mech I think it was? VR is whatever. Only Project Eve sucks, is nasty of them and I would have loved Ronin on Xbox too. But that game is 2024 and Eve remains to be seen how it will turn out anyway.
Nintendo Direct was 40m, State of Play was 20m. Hope 50m are worth it (granted we can cut talking parts of Nintendo to save 5-10m).
At least I give Sony credit for snatching all big japanese deals. Square Enix, Capcom, Bamco, probably Sega. Probably due to Microsoft’s “no GP no deal” motto or something. Did they have any big marketing foor anything since CP2077?
Also will be interesting to compare the promotion and marketinng of Wo Long and Ronin.
