“expect to see updates on existing titles from Xbox Game Studios and titles launching from developer partners that we hope will delight players here in Japan” the part of “we hope will delight” kinda means there will be new announcements, otherwise why would they hope previously announced games will delight players in Japan.

Not to raise expectations, but they are sure more involved than previous years. It’s a good sign in terms of how much they care. I get it, it’s frustrating when the games don’t release on it but again, it’s an uphill battle. Stop now and you’ll fall.

Well said. There are things Xbox could do better but they’ve also reached the too big to fail stage. Just Bethesda alone makes Xbox a must have console.

I’m expecting a huge blowout from MS at TGS, this is their time to show their dedication to the Japanese market with numerous deals, partnerships and of course GamePass day one third party titles.
I have high hopes… I’ll be watching, atleast I’ll be able to understand Phil and Sarah when they pop up in stage 
It isn’t all doom and gloom in Japan, even the Switch get skipped for games for seemingly no reason and everyone has one of those there probably…
I don’t think there will be a bombshell announcement there, but I think a couple big ones aren’t out of the question.
99% of the time when a Japanese game skips Switch it’s a specs issue. The only ones I know of who’s games could run on Switch no problem but still skip Switch are Compile Heart (keeps releasing Neptunia games as PS exclusives, but otherwise releases on Switch), Aquaplus (never released a Nintendo game in their life) and Falcom, who recently said they really regret this decision, called Playstation a “dull market” (in Japan) and said they will start putting their games on Switch day 1 starting with their next title (Ys X it sounds like). Atlus was weird with no Soul Hackers 2 on Switch but otherwise are good Switch supporters, even SMT V which the poor thing hardly runs is exclusive.
I’d be ecastic for NISA/Falcom games but my expectations are: A couple JP games that are already released on the console added to GP, 1 or maaayyybee 2 surprises like Danganronpa V3, and then “reminding” the audience of Wo Long/Persona/Gungrave.
Do we think Skyrim special edition will finally be announced for switch here ? It would be the place to do it right ?
This edition has appeared online many times but has yet to release.
This doesn’t seem like the place for that at all
It’s an xbox stream, advertising a game for someone else’s ecosystem in your own stream seems counter productive, to say the least
Is this show at a ridiculously early time for me? Yes.
Am I going to be getting up at 3am to get prepped for this 4am showcase? Also yes.

It’s at 5am my time, but considering I come back from the gym close to 1am I don’t think less than 4 hours of sleep would cut it; I’ll unfortunately have to watch the video later on

Due to mandatory OT, I thankfully can use that as an excuse for going into work so early once the showcase is over.
This will definitely be there biggest TGS this gen and probably for 10 years. Theyre actually going over there to record the presentation and making a big deal out of it

Again…I want MS to go out of the norm and do something crazy. And old IP or revival and try and get it made. Exclusive.
MS need an Exclusive JRPG that will make people sit up and listen.Gamepass deals are great but they need their FF7 Remake/Xenoblade 3 equivalent. Something like Lost Odyssey.
I know the perfect game. Xenogears Remake. Would be something left field, wild and would get hyped to the heavens.
Nintendo need to release new hardware because they’ll lose even more games. Persona 6 has 0 chance of Switch release. But I could see Persona 6 on the next switch.
