Well of course not many games will skip the Switch in Japan, but it happens. I’m also thinking about games that could have been designed around the Switch rather than the other consoles so developers could tap into that market. Well anyway the point is even if you dominate the market, you’ll still “lose some” so you have to expect it to happen to Xbox. You just have to be going in the right direction and I think Xbox is.
As for what my show up, wasn’t there some rumblings of Xbox working on a Monster Hunter type game? Fake Edit: Found it “Project Suerte” That may be something to announce there, but probably more likely that would be an E3 game.
I see people saying they think, or hope Deathloop Xbox will be announced here… I really hope it’s not [here] on their TGS show… Nobody in Japan cares about Deathloop lmao. If it’s there, give it 30 seconds max. I don’t wanna see them talking about how it’s dubbed in Japanese, please, they really won’t care.
It’s prerecorded like the last 2 years. Yes, Phil and Sarah are attending the event, but there isn’t an Xbox booth there and they aren’t presenting there. They’re just doing a digital prerecorded video, like the last 2 years.
Xbox hasn’t physically attended TGS (with a booth) since 2014, If I remember right.
There’s a TGS2022 VR “game”… You can walk around “booths” with other players. You don’t need VR to play. There’s about an hour - 1:30 of “content” (There’s “quests” to do)
It’s in English and it’s only like 100mb (grows to about 2gb after launching)
Koei’s section is mainly modeled after Atelier. Seems like by far the most marketed thing here, I mean, Ryza is even the first thing you see when you walk in. Still mad Gust ignores Xbox.
Okay Koei’s booth is by far the best. Huge Atelier celebration, you can even explore the big Atelier building there. The other booths are actually kinda shit in comparison. I guess the devs of this are big Atelier fans lol.
This section was pretty cool. Took pictures of Xbox related stuff showing up in gaming history. I noticed Xbox One doesn’t show any game with it lol. 360 shows DOA4 and OG Xbox shows DOA3. Goes to show how powerful DOA was with the Japan efforts.
Well, when first party and second parties will start producing content then it will happen…We can forgot big 3rd party announcements 100% as Microsoft is into GamePass and GamePass only, thus they will happen quite rarely.
Xbox really needs to have a big chunk of developers in Japan.
I mean even announcing partnerships with Japanese developers like they did with Kojima without even announcing a game is more interesting than showing Flight Sim or Sea of thieves for the 8th time at TGS.
Those are content updates. It helps that Sony does not have such games thus they cannot show anything like that But there will be content updates. Maybe even FO76 and so on.
I think both those games have some licensing issues
