Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase announced for Sunday June 12 at 10 a.m. PT + Xbox Games Showcase Extended on June 14th at 10am PT (Spoiler Free)

They can probably do that when those pubs are linked directly with xbox

Bethesda hasn’t released one exclusive yet for xbox, the impact of that acquisition hasn’t even begun yet

Marketing them together like brings in both sets of fans and continues to make that association together

I’m with you brother but sadly I think it’s on hold for now until Indy :smiling_face_with_tear:

Time to cut off whoever suggested May and September events lol

Don’t rub it in our face

I know Indiana Jones is announced but I’m really (maybe irrationally) hoping that Wolfenstein 3 didn’t get set aside and is far enough long to announce now with a release date in the next year. :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

“spending time with studios reviewing demos”

Phil knows what he’s doing when he tweets that, we getting that gameplay

Phil is going to be giggling incessantly when he gets to be the first to announce future Blizzard titles. I love how much he loves his job. We really shouldn’t take his passion for granted. I never want to go back to the era of stiff corporate execs at a Microsoft pretending they understand what gamers want but just forcing their corporate strategies down our throat.

Sony is doing a bit of this now but at least they seem to be offering significant resources and some reasonable autonomy to their studios.

Feel a little weird no big hype surrounding the announcement wether on Twitter or gaming websites. MWII got X3 times “likes” just in couple of mins. I think that’s because people need some details a company the announcement. “Even Starfield not mentioned”

What are you looking at, my time line was nothing but the showcase announcement for about two hours this morning.

There has just been a lot of movement this morning between that, MWII and Activision stuff.

Keep in mind MS has about 10 different personalities and accounts sending out the same information, the ever important “likes” are spread across a bunch of accounts.

Wonder what kind of surprise we can expect. I remember when out of left field during a Xbox show they showed Yakuza and I was like…“wtf, did they just show Yakuza.” and they were acting like it was the most standard thing in the world. But for us fans, it was huge!

Counting likes… lmao. I’m sorry, I just find it silly.

Sorry I’m not En speaker, hard to me to express myself fluently, mentioned that before, I mean “interactions” is not big for a long waited conference.

Hope nobody takes non-En speakers wrong here, and hope for an exceptional show.

Hey, I’m not a native English speaker either, don’t worry about that. I had no problems understanding you, I just think that putting so much value on a thing such as comparing likes or whatever is misplaced. The engagement is there!

Especially when the meaningful engagement report came out the other day, the quarterly financial report.

Hah, very true.

That’s cool and all, I hope it’s campaign dlc.

I remember clear as day. It was X019. Watching it with a friend who is an Xbox only gamer, then Yakuza was shown. He was like “is that those Japanese games you play?” Lmao.

Anyway I am waiting for another Xbox showcase that drops my jaw with JP content like that. 2018 E3 had multiple with the main one being Vesperia Remaster, especially since in 2018 expecting Japanese stuff on Xbox was deemed unrealistic. 2019 was also good, Elden Ring and Arise, though by then they were expected especially Elden Ring. But then they come outta left field and bring PSO2 to the West after so many years. 2020 was also good, there was PSO2 NG and Scarlet Nexus, they were new game announcements but by now Bamco games on Xbox is the norm and not special, but then DQXI S on Game Pass when everyone thought it was permanently Switch exclusive, 2021 dropped the ball a bit here because all it had was Eiyuden Chronicle and Yakuza LAD on Game Pass, and Scarlet Nexus again.

Hopefully that was a cooldown year or something and we get another big announcement like Persona series (I would guess 3-5) on Game Pass.

There’s been great announcements in this aspect so far this year like Soul Hackers but I’m talking about Xbox showcase presence here.

Its time to stop thinking Xbox as an underdog trying to compete with Sony.

They’re taking market share, dominating subscription based games service, and have the biggest publishers on hand.

Phil Spencer is becoming Thanos and a shitty ‘like’ count is not going to displace momentum.

They are still underdog, but not in every market. They are not “there” yet.

Theyre the underdog if you count something as archaic as hardware units sold. Game Pass metrics, studios and content pipeline is what matters.
