Xbox Developer_Direct Showcase coming January 25th. Redfall, Forza Motorsport, ESO, and Minecraft Legends. Starfield show in the works

ESO on big stage with a deep dive by developers. The next chapter should be announced as well. Very exciting news.

Time to create a new toon.

Just be happy for once.

I like this concept. Just letting the devs show their goods without unnecessary ceremony.

Yeah, it’s lovely to see. Because this is going to mean we’re gonna get Directs in the future containing Fable, Avowed, Hellblade 2, all the good stuff coming.

This will make us Xbox fans eat way better than ever before, haha.

This im very happy about. As long as the developers talk while showing the gameplay as opposed to being on screen or a couch, this has the potential to be really good and a great starting point for a new Xbox Mini Showcase format for the months and years to come.

Agreed. They just to deliver a good first impression and they should have an excellent format with Direct in the future.

What year is this?!

Let’s see some release dates! Release dates all around!

“Coming when it’s done”

I wonder what the chances are that Starfield Direct is not super long after their first Direct. In the first Direct they give Redfall a May release date and in the Starfield Direct they surprise everyone with a release actually before Redfall, like April.

That would surprise the hell out of me for sure, it’s not impossible. Although I am leaning more towards June right now.

Hard to say. If you look at other company’s direct, their deep dive happens a month before the game release. Then again, the game doesn’t have a release date yet, so my assumption is a three months gap. I’m only speculating.

Leaning towards a delay :innocent:

Jesus Christ FINALLY!!! If this means that Xbox wont “die” until and after E3 Im all for it!

Lets hope they nail this one and please dont take more than an hour with it. I think 35-40 minutes will be enough withouth dragging.

Die? Damn. We have reached that level huh.

It’s already confirmed no host and pure gameplay from developers themselves.

You missed the news? Satya wants to shut down Xbox this month and Phil is leaving Microsoft according to 4chan :joy: This developer direct is actually for devs to say their goodbyes

He means the quiet no-shows between E3’s.

Well I mean, generally you wont hear anything from them until E3 and after it ends its just silence :person_shrugging:

Im strictly talking about xbox/zenimax content and projects. I don’t think is polemic to say in past years we wouldn’t hear from them again until next E3 and the majority of us dislike that approach

It won’t be smaller than 15-30m for sure. Starfield has too much to show. Even on E3, Starfield had 15m but literally showed small pieces of various features. Settlements, flying, customization etc. They did not even show dialogues and so on.

That makes sense. I think Xbox got their gatherings and now the new year is here, they’re going to pull the plans they wanted to do.
