What do you think will show up at this January’s Developer Direct Showcase?
My Predictions are:
Halo Reboot
Gears of War E-Day
Forza Horizon 6
Starfield Update
Avowed Update
Fallout remaster Shadow drop (New Vegas or 3)
Something from Square Enix as this has been mentioned a few times.
Edit: I am now not expecting the Avowed update as that will be at another Showcase in Jan. Others have also made good arguments about Halo potentially skipping this show due to the reveal information blowout.
Forza Horizon 6, Gears E-day, and 3rd party game(likely a Japanese studio, Square is rumored) and Fable.
I think that because Avowed is going to be part of the New Game Plus event, it’s unlikely to be there. I want Starfield there, but I think if anything from Bethesda directly is shown it would be TES6 as that’s there next game, if they have anything to show yet.
Fallout 3 Remastered isn’t Bethesda directly so I can see it show up to, maybe even something from any of the other Zenimax Studios. ESO won’t be there as they’re showing something off tomorrow at 3pm est though.
Halo Reboot got a whole showcase from Halo Studios last year, so I don’t see it being here.
Forza Horizon 6, Gears E-Day, Halo, Fable, and something from Sega, Square, Capcom or other Japan-based dev.
Is Project Mara still a thing? I could see that as one of the smaller games for this year.
I think Project Mara isn’t really a game, so we likely won’t see it.
Was it ever at any show? I don’t remember if it was just something Ninja Theory was putting up in their channel or website.
Oh I didn’t know Avowed is going to be at another show - they mentioned they have more to show this year ahead of their 1 year anniversary in Feb. As for Starfield if the rumoured update comes out in Spring then the Developer Direct might be a good place to outline the upcoming changes along with that long rumoured PS5 port.
And true Halo may get another showcase in the summer before a fall launch in Sept/October (Avoiding GTA 6).
As for Fable I expect to see that at the Summer Showcase along with games like State of Decay 3, Clockwork Revolution, Persona 4 Revival and anything likely to come out in 2027 (I think due to GTA 6/Halo Fable won’t hit 2026 for cadence reasons).
Maybe my updated predictions are Forza 6, Gears of War E-Day, Maybe Starfield/Bethesda stuff and a couple of 3rd party games.
I hope we get a big content blowout for Starfield! That game has been dormant for too long. Forza Horizon 6 is going to be stellar but that is a surprise to no one. 
The dream for me would be some Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift crossover content.
If there is a Fallout remaster shadow drop, I will have to immediately resubscribe to Ultimate.

I don’t see Halo CEmake being there but you never know with the 25 years of Xbox anniversary, maybe they want to highlight all 4 big classic series. Either way I am hyped AF for the show, this year has the potential to be the best year for the brand in terms of 1st party software.
Not to mention hardware, won’t shock me in the slightest. But that kinda stuff is reserved for summer stuff so i doubt we see that here, although a tease would be nice to say the least.
Anyway, personal bets(I think this developer direct might be a bit longer this time around to i will be adding six total games in this:
Fable/Forza horizon 6(Since it was confiremed playground games would have a spot in this direct so i think they will talk about both games most likely)
Gears of War E-Day, kinda self explanatory but it does make sense to start big if you can.
Toys for Bob game published by Xbox(New Spyro game, perfect time for a comeback)
State of Decay 3 by Undead Labs
Third Party Japanese game(Square Enix Final Fantasy 17 perhaps or part 3 of 7 remake)
Another Third Party Japanese game(Money on Atlus annoucing something big)

I love Resident Evil and my kids will adore My little Pony.
A double feature for Playground would be great and quite needed too. Fable and FH6. We know they will kill it with FH6 but we don’t yet know much about Fable. It’s brand new territory for them, but the wait also has been very long. A double feature by them were both games look amazing is honestly all I need.
Do not care much for Halo. Because that will obviously just be the remake, not new mainline. And of course excited for proper new Gears of War.
And sure, if no Fable here it could be in summer, but it could easily not be. No guarantees. So prediction is obviously FH6, Gears of War E-Day and Halo Remake. Hope is Fable! And if that one were to slip into 2027, so be it, hopefully not, but at least…

So Fable FH 6, Halo and Gears, it would be nice if we saw the new Jet Set Radio given JSRF understands the concept of Xbox
