Made the mistake of looking at comments on the Xbox subreddit to see people’s reaction, and people are… mad? WTF? Like the majority of comments are just like, “This is dumb. Why don’t I get anything.” 
I’m so glad I don’t work at Xbox and have to interact with the majority of the community. Even the basic reading required to understand it’s a starter edition that’s even worse than the lowest tier you can pay for is lost. People fundamentally cannot grasp the idea of marketing targeting people that aren’t currently paying customers (themselves). Like it shouldn’t be that crazy of a concept. “This social messaging platform often associated with gaming is getting Game Pass lite to hopefully lead to new subscribers on proper GP tiers; current GP subscribers also get some discord cosmetic stuff for fun.” We’re a very stupid race. I’m actually worried about reading comprehension and the basic ability to imagine that something isn’t for one self. Not like this comes with a higher price for everyone to pay so Nitro users can get a cheaper Game Pass for free.
