Xbox Game Studios |OT| Halo...is it me you’re looking for?

2023 for FH5 would be way too long, goddamn. Kinda not necessary either, so far Playground has managed to release all their games in time and honestly it FM isn’t finished next year but FH5 is…i say it’s go time for FH5.

I still think that Halo Infinite will release Spring 2021.

I don’t imagine 343 and MS showing Halo Infinite late July and saying it will release in November (3 months later, less if you count the game going gold) and then suddenly realizing the game needs a full year delay.

All this talk about exclusives… Am I the only one who spends 90%+ of their time playing third party games? For me it’s the same thing as it was in the past few years, Xbox is the best place to play a vast majority of all games. I picked up a cheap PS4 on sale and bought all the exclusives I was interested in from the entire generation on PS4, a grand total of 9 games…even a couple of remasters included. For an entire generation. As a comparison, I play about 50 games a year.

With Xbox I get the best versions of most games, a lot of great exclusives, Xbox Game Pass, quiet hardware, best controllers, great synergy with PC. The choice of a primary gaming system is easy, for me at least.

I think it depends on the person. Been playing my PS4 a lot and mostly playing first party exclusives or third party ones. Even up into the fall and next year a lot of the games i want to play (most niche if we’re being honest) are either only on PS4 or just PS4/Switch.

Not me I play 80% of my time Sea of Thieves

I agree, I think exclusives, while being great and one of the point to sell a console or ecosystem, is not the defining point either. To me, the overall value brought by Game Pass Ultimate and BC is much more important, to the point where I have a hard time paying full price for a game. My backlog is so big that I don’t really care about exclusivity for now, since I’m starting this generation with plenty of games to do already, as compared to almost none with the Xbox One.

It’s pretty 50/50 split for me. This gen I played a lot more games than usual, and its because of Sony’s superb first party offering. Then again, I’m switching back to Xbox next gen because for literally everything else, they’ve shown that it’s better to be on the Xbox platform

I may be overthinking it, but could that be the Series X and Series S ?

So right now it seems if I want to buy extra storage for Xbox Series consoles it will set me back about 200 bucks? I’m first gonna see how I’ll manage and get used to just the 1tb though.

Uf, if you are going to do a dedicated podcast to Halo, I’m in  And if you would have guest people like Halo Canon, Hidden Xperia, Atomic Jorge or Katarn343 I’d been ultra excited

Oh, I saw a link yesterday posted here. But this thread moves so damn fast…hard to find again. We’ll just have to wait and see then. I also wonder if games indeed are going to be smaller in file size like some people on other forums have said. They did give good reasons why this could be the case, but let’s see.

At least, you will see different file sizes between Series S and X for sure, since you don’t have to load 4K assets for the Series S. That’s why they put a 512GB SSD.

Yeah I think that was most likely a placeholder. Besides, speaking about myself here, I may have 5 TB of games on my X1X but it’s really unnecessary. I’m just lazy…

With smaller games and an external for BC-games, and just to transfer the active games between that and the SSD, it won’t be a problem.

wow MS Hardware engineers are wizards!!

Yep, XSS buyers will be fine.

I agree with that. When they announced it would only be 1TB I kinda panicked, because I have tons of games on my 3TB but at the end of the day it’s really just convenience. A huge amount of these games I don’t even play right now. I’ll probably adjust quickly to it. And I can always look for more storage in the near future.
