the Massace of the Outer Colonies and the Siege of the Inner Colonies, the food riots, the Insurrection, the propaganda VS the reality, the shady practices of the ONI and Paragonsky, the general feeling of helplessness against an invincible enemy (something that Halo Reach touched), etc.
The Blooding Years and the Post-War Resurgence (just after Halo 3)
unsteady peace and high tensions (see Operation: SUNSPEAR), Master Chief is dead, multiple factions facing each other (the Swords of Sanghelios, the remnants of the Covenant, the ONI, the Insurrectionists…), Sanghelios during the civil war, the surviving Outer colonies decided to cut all ties with the UNSC as they felt abandonned by Earth during the war, etc…
I’ve been focusing too much on Fortnite lately and Overwatch 2 (finishing the grind today to Lvl 45, didn’t want to pay for that new character lol) but I’ve been logging daily for my free daily gifts on Fallout 76 and I really miss the game. Probably too late to jump in and make significant progress until the season is over (Persona 5 currently taking the rest of my gaming time) , but I really want to jump back in next season.
I’m only Lvl 300ish, but I keep seeing Lvl 1000 or more when I log and I’d really like to get there someday lol
There was a poll on this on the Starfield Reddit and it asked if you’d be fine with a somewhat buggy game if it releases in the first half or more polished when delayed. I’m sorry, but I went with the former. Any game nowadays is buggy, launches buggy. If it’s not a Cyberpunk but more like Fallout 4 at launch I say it’s go time!
Even if it were the launch in November it would stilo have bugs, it’s BGS.
Maybe, who knows. I mean, I gotta be honest here, Gears 5 didn’t launch bug free either, even had annoying campaign bugs. FH5 was anything but bug free and had some features in online stuff flat out not even working.
Bugs will always be there. I personally would be more than fine with it. Yep, I just badly want to play it.
I don’t think a BGS game is gonna launch bug free - they are too complex with all the world sim and physics stuff going on. I do think it’s important that it lands on the lower end of the BGS bug scale though. Like you say - something closer to how Fallout 4 launched. This is their first game since the notorious launch of Fallout 76, their first game since being acquired by Microsoft and with that in mind this is one of Microsoft’s biggest games this generation. They should get it right.
Screaming about polish but lacking context lol. If Starfield actually needed a year more of “polish” it has much bigger issues than needing “polish”. Honestly, the game is probably in a really good place.
I was team June for the next show, but seems he’s commiting hard on it happening very soon.
A “direct” with some gameplay and dates for at least Redfall and Forza, and some more info on Starfield (be it gameplay or not) with also a date, then some updates for Halo, FH5, maybe SoT etc and end with an announcement like next compulsion’s game, Coalition’s “smaller” game or the one Jeff talked about.
I mean there’s just so much stuff they can show that wouldn’t hurt their summer showing…
