I’m hoping with the recent event labs upgrades in 5 means it will be a big focus in FH6
Make FH the ultimate racing experience that Halo 3 was back in the day thanks to Forge, FH is already way ahead of the competition but adding a really huge and fleshed out forge mode will basically make them untouchable
Yeah I think the expectation to time it correctly each ear, which implies that they would artificially hold back games that are ready for release, or rush games into release to meet the timing quota, is unrealistic and not smart management. I don’t know what they meant exactly by that, but we know corporate people use language differently, it could mean that they want 4 games a year by that and people took it at face value.
It likely wont happen this year as they will miss Q1 but either by next year or at least in the near future, Xbox will absolutely have one lined up for every quarter
They have so many studios and games coming that it’s more likely for it to happen than not but even if delays happen they will have a ton of games every year going forward now, not too bothered about a missing quarter here and there
2025 is likely to be even more stacked than this year
I have a strong feeling that people like or are interested In Xbox games , but not enough to buy a console for it. Just look at shitstorm Indiana Jones caused where people are either port begging or throwing up excuses to dismiss it
They wouldn’t be port begging if they weren’t interested, all the more reason to keep them in the ecosystem, the more games like this you release the more desriable you get until they get tired of the port begging and just invest
I honestly don’t think that many people buy consoles for exclusive games in the first game it’s just a retrofitted narrative. Like out of all consoles sales I think buying for exclusives would represent a fraction of the overall sales.
Yeah, I think that’s the tricky thing because if you look at sales charts it’s mainly multiplats when looking at Sony and Microsoft . I think Nintendo it’s possible people buy for exclusive but could be more with brand form factor
Nintendo had multiple “failed” consoles despite that they had all their valuable IP that are real system sellers. The most successful Playstation and home console sold more on the premise of being a DVD player than exclusive games. I don’t even remember the word exclusive being used that much until the PS360 gen. The pricing model, marketing, distribution and regional availability (inc. localization) created so much more of the PlayStation brand initially than any exclusive game, and they’re still living off that brand strength significantly more than exclusives or first party games.
SEO killed journalism . IGN and other outlets know Starfield hate drives traffic, so they’ll constantly repost same tweets or create articles to drive traffic. They’re most likely going to use the same recycle tweet about elder scrolls 6 being exclusive
I think they are definitely attempting to release a major game every quarter, but I think that’s rather hard to execute. Towerborne was probably our q1 game with some rumours going around that it was delayed.
It’s likely that we will get 4 major games every year, and that MS will at least attempt to release them on a quarterly basis.
We also know they will have multiple major games in the same quarter. They’ve done it before with Halo and Forza and will do it again. They still have COD to add to the mix for 2024.
Yeah, as I said in the SE thread, that’s the most likely FF game coming to Xbox after FF14. Remake is either never coming or only after a long time (year plus) after the trilogy is completed. But the good news is this means FF17 most likely won’t be exclusive.
