Xbox Game Studios |OT3| Once more....with feeling (Part 1)

Here is just another example

The starfield trailer is literally just a logo and it has more views than the fifth game in the Gears of War franchise (the most played Game Pass game at launch was Gears 5).

Yeah there is a crazy hype for Starfield to a point where even Todd Howard is joking about it. Of course it is because of the studios reputation.

In all honesty I don’t even think the average casual gamer has even heard the news that Bethesda has been acquired, let alone even know that Microsoft is the one who acquired them. It’s only going to hit people once Microsoft’s first event with Bethesda comes around. Some people have heard the news and probably completely forgot by now.

sorry but that doesnt make sense . Gears is restricted to the Xbox community, and Starfield not. this attracts a lot more people. and in 2018 no one knew that MS would buy Bethesda :man_shrugging:

  1. The game looks pretty boring from the official trailers they’ve shown, plus it’s a Bloober game.

The fact I’m trying to point out is that Starfield is only in its infancy marketing wise and its already getting a ton of attention.

awesome work klob

Well yeah it’s a space RPG which hasn’t really been done good, I’m super hyped for it and anything space related. I wish we got more space related games.

Agree completely. It’ll hit hard when Jimmy McPlaystation, who fills his time with COD, GTA and Fifa hears that “Skyrim 2” isn’t on PS5

A hint about the developper of the supposed KOTOR reimagining / new game:

Any idea of what developer could do it ? (if this game is really happening)

Not going to lie.

Household name that not many people are aware of kind of screams inXile.

Nobody knows who the fuck they are, and Wasteland 3 has (sadly) seemingly vanished from the public memory.

Turn 10

IF we believe @Shpeshal_Nick whispers…

Microsoft is talking with Lucasfilm about something or somethings OTHER than Indiana Jones…

inXile started a second project sometime last year, and Sponger said that inXile is getting the most money from Microsoft to make games.

Shinobi says that the makers are “It’s not as mysterious as you think. It’s just not a household name most people are aware of.”

Well it means two things:

  1. An XGS studio is making something with Lucasfilm unrelated to Indiana Jones but seperate from Kotor.

  2. A “not househould name” is making the Kotor Revival.

:philwins: has frequently talked about KOTOR III as being one of his and the Xbox gamers most requested games. If the team at Xbox really want to take us back to the OG Xbox days, KOTOR is one of the most well known Xbox games.

Now, what would be a non-household name? Ninja Theory? There are only TWO studios I can think of that are not household names in XGS library, IF XGS is making the Kotor Revival:

  1. Compulsion

  2. inXile.

Those were the two studios during the acquisitions that made people go…

My money would be on inXile with it’s long history of Wasteland, Fallout 1 & 2, Bard’s Tale…

Or for all we know it’s being made by Spiders or Cyanide Studios lol

I think it’s gonna be Activision

I suspect they wanted it to go alongside Halo.

Xbox would be crazy to it get involved in a KOTOR reboot / sequel. I would be diss appointed if they let it go multiplat, as lame as that sounds.

B…b…but Xbox needs Playstation.

Hopefully they close the deal soon. Yesterday made it so clear how badly MS wants everyone and their moms on Game Pass. Jimmy McPlaystation indeed isn’t going to be happy when he finds out he’s already played the last BGS on PS, it being Fallout 76, lol.
