So, Xbox’s 2022 is already looking stacked…

  • Forza Motorsport

  • RedFall

  • Starfield

  • Death Loop

  • Ghostwire Tokyo

I think we also see either Avowed, Hellblade 2 or something else from first-party releasing next year. Just insane stuff.

RedFall sounds incredible.

I was skeptical about it being Back 4 Bloodsuckers, but it sounds like it’s an exploration/vampire slaying game, and has a real Fright Night/ Lost Boys vibe to it.

Maybe even a dash of 30 Days of Night.

I wanted to play as the vampire, but now I’m so down to slay some bloodsucking freaks.

I’m so pumped.

I’m hyped for it… but I can’t but wish it was a gothic, more gritty sim where you play as a vampire… similar to Vampry’s setting.

Wow this just looks so much better than even Youtube gameplay. It is so smooth. Is this at 120fps or 60 fps? I think ppl will be impressed when they first play it because the smoothness is not apparent on Youtube or Twitch.

Ghostwire will be 2023. Don’t think its hitting in 2021

I know “Bite Back” is the tagline for Redfall but I would prefer “Raise The Stakes”

How do you know that you dont become a vampire to defeat the vampires…

It has no views because it’s a new Ip. Also, the trailer shows a team of 4 fighting fighting vampires with unique powers and abilities in a open world town. Which is what you will be doing in the game.

The general audience does not have a vendetta against cgi trailers like posters here, let’s be reasonable.

Honest question, when did CGI or in engine footage become this thing that was so terrible in gaming? As long as I can remember, CGI and in engine footage has been used to announce games and this is something that feeds into mind share and helps people that market games have a better chance of explaining what the games are.

This is why everyone does it bar the rare occasions like Red Dead Redemption where a game is so big that you do not need the advance hype machine to carry the title. Apart from this, games like Anthem have shown that we are in an age where what is presented is what is expected at delivery date. Sony too has this practice of showing off games and giving us immensely noticeable downgrades.

As a consumer, I will take CGI and game feed representative of what the finished product will be at a later date.

Finally, we are also missing what Microsoft is doing. They have Age of Empires, Halo, Horizon, Psychonauts, Flight sim all launching this year. Deathloop and Ghostwire Tokyo on PS5. None of the reveals remove from the fact that they are going to have more games out that other platform holders. What they do is they continue to build a case as to what content it is Microsoft has coming out in the future and how that ties into Game Pass.

The expectation was that it would hit this year. I cannot see it missing this year and next.

My guy, dont put words in my mouth, im not saying the general public hates CGI trailers. I love CGI trailers. The trailer was cool, and fighting vampires is the core gameplay, but that trailer is not representative of the gameplay, so theres no reason for people to go back and watch the trailer outside of the showcase, or to watch it again to see more of the specific details of what theyll be doing when they play the game. It being a new IP is a part of it yes, but theres more to it than that.

So, he wants to remain in the PlayStation ecosystem but enjoy all the perks of owning Xbox consoles?

I mean itll hit PS5 in 2022 and Xbox in 2023. Who knows tho, maybe we’ll get a surprise during Sony’s showcase.

Cool. Thanks for the correction.
