Yeah, it’s weird how certain sentiments grow and spread like a virus with gamers
“Remember, don’t ever pre-order” (Even if you’re 100% sure you’re getting it and just want the bonuses that come with pre-ordering)
“All MTX is bad, unless it’s free to play” (in which case it’s fine to spend hundreds/thousands of dollars like a moron, apparently)
“Multiplayer only should never be full price” (even in cases where you may spend way more time in it than a single player game)
“No CGI trailers ever. It has to be gameplay” (Even though gameplay that early is almost always a bullshit vertical slice that will not accurately depict what you’ll be playing, or seeing)
I think all the dominoes are setting up for what could be an all time great E3 2022. If everybody is positive on this years E3, I can’t imagine what the response will be next year.
If we get a Gamescom or a TGA trailer it will be perfect. I’m also beginning to think that maybe Halo will announce the release date with a campaign trailer at Gamescom, the timing would be perfect. Announcing the date with a Xbox Wire blog post or a Twitter post would be a little lame imo.
I highly recommend watching this. Matty always does a great job and he sure does with this one. Some really cool finds that could mean they are possibly in the game.
And I noticed at 13:30 another robot walking around in the distance, near the building.
I highly doubt we will see Perfect Dark, Fable Contraband, Indiana Jones and we are definitely not seeing TOW2 lol. We could get InXile’s and Compulsion’s game though as announcement trailers.
I think we could certainly get something from any of those. Not gameplay (shudder), but something CG / In Engine. All of them is unlikely, but doubting the chance to see any of it seems silly to me when all we have so far is title cards, essentially and the games are possible for 2023/2024 releases
Unless you think very little progress will be made on any of them a full year from now, or that Microsoft will have no desire to show their biggest upcoming games at E3?
Honestly, I think that’s officially too much to fit into one 90 minute show. They’ve got to start spreading the information on these games out over the year. With an E3 show, appearances at smaller events & a few “Xbox Direct” online shows, they could damn near dominate the whole gaming community’s hype cycle.
It just occured to me that they basically did an “Xbox Direct” on Forza Horizon 5, during their E3 show. Think about it, that could’ve easily stood on it’s own & been every bit as popular, creating hype among the wider gaming community.
I doubt because next E3 I suspect Microsoft will want to focus on the likes of Forza, Redfall, Avowed potentially Hellblade and Starfield, which you would think will get a sizable demo and would take a huge chunk of the showcase. Plus any 3rd party games that are going to launch into Game Pass that year.
I do because Xbox shouldn’t have a lack of content to show next year and I suspect they will be more concerned with marketing games coming that year and Starfield could take up a lot of ‘oxygen’ that E3.
I just wouldn’t go in expecting to see those games at any rate.
