And what is it that they have on their plate exactly? Last I checked there weren’t any new projects on their plate.
FTR, I am not at all suggesting they’re developing KI, I’m just providing a bit of a reality check when people make declaratives not backed by data.

Iron Galaxy is possible but wouldn’t the chosen studio want to one that Microsoft has the possiblity of bringing in house?
With Adam Boyes still at IG, I don’t think that would be an option.
I mean now NWay, super small studio located near Double Fine… Well now, that could be something there…
Iron Galaxy working on PC ports, that’s terrible.
I mean shit, maybe it IS being developed internally across the 23 studios.
I mean maybe it’s Double Fine’s next game
No law saying the partner can’t already be a first party studio?

MS needs to buy some fighting game studio
Brandon:
You don’t think Microsoft could easily triple, nay, octuple that offer?

If their owner doesnt want to sell, they wont sell no matter the offer.

I guess we just wait until Saturday to see if Nick drops a hint as to whom it could be.
For all we know, this is just tease-bating and the real news is that Crackdown is coming back bay-bee

They’ve been alternating between Injustice & MK forever now… There’s absolutely no possibility they’d break this very successful cycle of IPs they own to do one they don’t. Sorry dude, this isn’t a “reality check” at all… They’re not in the situation Moon was for Ori or Armature was for ReCore…
They’re not in the discussion, it’s an impossibility, no idea why this is even a talking point.

I think we shouldn’t worry about KI right now.
Game is probably in pre-production .

A new KI means I sleep…
But for those waiting for a new one I hope it’s happening of course.

I still think maybe it’s from a developer who had a great pitch, maybe a rough proof-of-concept but has NO previous fighting game background.

If acquisition is right for both parties, Adam Boyes wouldn’t stand in the way. Professionals in the industry don’t behave like fanboys you see on Twitter.
Could that have reached out to SNK?
I’m not a fan of fighting games but I’d be down for a new Killer Instinct. I’d probably give it a go regardless.

KI might be not be everyone’s type of game, but it sure is important for Xbox as a whole.

All these theories and we still dont even know if it’s actually happening yet
KI unfortunately had to deal with being an XB1 game and all of the controversy it brought
A KI2 thats of similar quality to the first on series consoles/pc and gamepass day 1? Massive potential
