Budget definitely isnt something im concerned about when it comes to xbox games anymore and they know how demanded a KI2 is, I think they will go all out with it if it really is happening

While I agree, not necessarily. Sony has done third-party developed exclusives all the time with games like Bloodborne with Fromsoft.
I mean Microsoft is using Crystal Dynamics to help make Perfect Dark, so it’s not out of the realm of possibility.

Crystal wasn’t busy. At least not all of them. They’re a massive studio.
Netherrealm is never not busy between MK and Injustice. There is zero room for an outside project.
There are rumors though that Injustice 3 was 86’d because of this merger thing.

There’s Mane6, the devs of Them’s Fightin’ Herds. They seem small to do a project like KI, but maybe they’d get some help?

Why not? Last time I checked, Killer Instinct (2013) wasn’t developed by an Xbox Game Studio…. nor was Crackdown 3, Recore, Ori, Microsoft Flight Simulator, and the list goes on. Just a gentle reminder that plenty of Xbox tentpole, and smaller, titles have been developed by external partners.

Iron Galaxy is working on the ports of Uncharted 4 + Lost Legacy for PC and PS5.
Those are almost done though, they’re coming out very soon. I don’t expect KI to be soon.
