- Gears 5: Hivebusters / 82
- Flight Simulator / 92
- Psychonauts 2 / 89
- Deathloop / 88

- Forza Horizon 5 / 92
- Halo Infinite / 86
- Average / 87
I said this a while back but this generation for Xbox is going to be for me what PlayStation 4 was for me last generation, meaning that after the previous generation being a disappointment, the current generation completely wins me over.
While half of the games I listed above are simply of no interest to me, overall, the quality far surpasses PlayStation 4 in the same time period and it’s not even close. Sony started to win me over in 2016 but it was mainly 2017 that did it for me but it took half the generation to do so where as when looking at Microsoft and the roadmap, they should accomplish the same for me in half the time it Sony to win me over.
As long as Redfall and Starfield hit for me personally, Microsoft would have accomplished in two years what it took Sony four years to accomplish in regards to winning me over and being confident moving forward which excluding Gears 4 & 5, after Xbox One, my confidence in Microsoft was pretty much non-existent but in just a year since the Series X/S launched, they have already had a massive turnaround to where it’s insane.
So with that all said, congratulations to Microsoft and everyone on all the studios that work at Microsoft/Bethesda because holy shit, we’re in for one hell of a fucking ride and as I said a year ago, I am the most hyped, positive and excited for Xbox that I have been in over a decade which was basically near the end of the Xbox 360 generation.
The best part is that what makes me most hyped future wise is that the games that aren’t for me personally are still highly rated and highly polished titles which makes me very happy because after the Xbox One generation, that’s all I really wanted to see was a massive improvement in quality and polish which thus far, they have done and with all their studios now, I am expecting every game to be pretty much at the same 80+ high quality and highly polished level.
Due to work, can’t wait for Wednesday night to finally start Halo Infinite and if at The Game Awards, I get a gameplay trailer or two and maybe one reveal, oh man!!!
