There was always going to be a few outlier reviews that knocked the Halo MC score down a couple of points (I expect a few more that may drop it down to 85), but it doesn’t matter the consensus is that the game is fire so everyone should be all good.
The whole concept of MC is ridiculous. Some of the sites on there are not even professional. These days, the only review i read is Metro
The concept isn’t ridiculous; OC just does a better job because they aggregate by review, not platform. Scored reviews in today’s game review world are ridiculous because there’s a million different systems and scales used to review one game. Until there’s a standardized scale used across all gaming reviews, scores are pointless.

I think Coalition debuting their new IP also makes sense because it’ll allow them to advertise they’re doing more than/moving on from Gears in the near future and staff up appropriately for the new IP, Gears 6 and beyond.
Funny stuff, right?. Halo is older than that and yet some are already burned out with the latter but not with the former.

2021 is the year Microsoft threw off the “xbox has no games” meme, and with a bang. This year Xbox Studios put out Halo Infinate, Psychonauts 2, Forza Horizon 5, Age of Empires and Deathloop. Add to that, as good as this year has been, it will be overshadowed by the best few years releases.
