Xbox Game Studios |OT7| Killer News Here!?

The moment that man tweets that out, I’ll know we got something on our hands.

:doge:

It’s the canary.

The only time that theory didn’t hold up was Gamescom.

On the Nate podcast they had the theory/prediction of xbox holding games back for E3 because they want next years E3 to be better than this years but that seems misguided

They could show Hellblade/Avowed/InXile etc games here and still have more than enough at E3 next year to still be better than last years, not that last years was bad, it was really good but they have so many games they can show that not showing them off at the event which gets more viewers than anything else in the year seems like it would be a big mistake

I know this is a pretty old post but, both Morrowind and Oblivion’s MC have a past that is not really talked about just like in Skyrim, there’s absolutely no way for someone to be a fully grown adult and just have no past(unless they are some sort of creation by an Et’eda and even then, they have one just look at Darien). What we do know about all of them is that they are prisoners who committed a crime of some sort and are arrested.

MS I think will want PD to be a pillar for them. The next iconic world and characters

@hindle with his lukewarm hot takes…

Too bad we won’t be getting Perfect Dark this generation, amirite?!?

2024 or 2025 will still be this gen.

Hindle be like:

“Due to console supply issues and COVID delays, when I say this generation, I am talking about Fable releasing in 2032”

Can I get real for a second.

Holy crap guys.

This is it.

The night before Halo.

What a journey it’s been to this point.

The first reveal in the legendary Xbox E3 2018, the departures, the rumors of troubled development, Craig, the delay, the re-reveal, the worry about campaign being “hidden” to the reviews.

It’s BONKERS to think about what has happened in the FOUR YEARS since Halo Infinite was first revealed.

But tomorrow’s it.

Tomorrow Chief’s journey continues.

Tomorrow…

Halo is back.

I just hope that the public reaction to it ends up being positive. Critically, it did pretty well, but public perception matters a lot to the reputation of the franchise. 343 deserves a win. Yes, the game is missing some crucial stuff. I feel for the people that only play co-op. I feel for the people bummed out by customization, progression, and playlists. I feel for the people playing a lackluster version on Series S. I feel for the people on PC who hoped for a better port. Hopefully 343 can articulate clearly their path forward on those things, set expectations appropriately, and then deliver on those promises. A strong reception to the campaign by the public will help ease those pains.

It looks like it’s set to win the Player’s Choice award for TGAs. What will be interesting to see is how the game performs in TGAs next year. Especially against some tough competition, that could be a really great moment for 343 if it holds strong.

Reminds me of Halo 2, which had a fairly troubled dev cycle, a great E3 showing of a stage that never actually made it into the game and a year delay, only for it to finally release and be one of the biggest games of the time. I am legit hyped for the campaign can’t wait to finally sink my teeth into it!

If they can get to the point where they put out 2 games per gen with Hellblade 2s quality of production, that would be massive for Xbox.
