Xbox Game Studios |OT8| Leaving The Drought Behind And Heading For Starfield

Neither were obvious, and all the insiders were saying the opposite. I got a lot of mockery for those predictions

I mean, they are representative of what Grubb knew at E3 2021, things change, we know it. Anyway it’s due time for 2019-2020 announced games to release on 2023, that’s for sure. Releasing games after 4-5 years the announcement is too SE like.

Anyway, Forza, will they turn Horizon into a platform as well?

Xbox will have 6-8 games per year for the next 2-3 years then 8+ after. That’s just with natural growth of their studios and continued funding of studios desired projects. If they acquire more first party studios they could be releasing 10+ per yr

Between all of xbox’s studios, the seperate teams within, bethesda, and of course XGSP, xbox is relatively close to being able to release a game a month. It’s really not that far fetched, especially if something like a WB acquisition went through.

Yeah, we saw it with Deathloop too, got delayed. All previous Arkane games didn’t get release dates at the same time as announcement. Redfall is unique in that and I hope that was done for good reason. Hope we hear something on this soon and I don’t mean developer’s idea of soon, lol.

Curiously Redfall has been in development for longer than Deathloop.

Anyways, if 2023 does look like how Grubb says it may be the single greatest year for Xbox ever.

True, all insiders strongly pointed to a 2021 release until Jason said…hold up.

I truly hope you will turn out to be wrong though. I mean if 2023 is Avowed, 2024 is Fable, 2025 is inXile, 2026 is ToW 2… then that would make TES VI 2027. Christ almighty.

But I guess it’s possible, Starfield will likely get at least one or two big expansions and after that they’ll put the whole team on VI.

Yep.

Even before him saying it, it makes sense that it’s going to be a busy year.

And with Grubb confirming those games are targeting 2023, it’s a given.

They even can afford to delay a few games and it will still be a great year, just from 1st party!

Hindle doubting the likes of Jez and Grubb - Known respected Journalists for xbox still makes me laugh.

I mean, i dont believe those projects are coming next year. PD and Fable nah no way

I can’t believe the content of the last 5309 posts in this thread… New Thread but Same Actions…

I blame myself…

And

Congress.

Next year I think is Hellblade. Contraband. Avowed, and a few smaller games

Elder Scrolls will probs end up being 2027 at the earliest

I think that those who are expecting those 8 games from Grubb’s list (im excluding Everwild) to all release in 2023 when two of them haven’t even been announced yet and when they are, will probably be CGI trailers, in my opinion are setting themselves up for disappointment.

If even half of those games get released, I will be thrilled but in no way, shape or form am I expecting all 8 of them to get released in 2023.

That’s five years after Starfield, not full development years probably since I can definitely see a expansion or two coming for Starfield. I hope 2027 isn’t the earliest, Jesus. When was the announcement again, 2018?

You guys are having some fun here, hope it keeps going.
