Do you think they’re making a new IP or is this for their support studio?
God bless
After almost 20 years at EA, after we converged the company on a single large game engine, driving things like virtual production, working on development teams, centralized art teams, animation teams, research teams, etc, it was time for a change.
I’ve joined Microsoft and the teams all leveraging, pushing on, and helping develop Unreal Engine 5. It worked globally across EA to join all the studios on a single engine (incredibly well in fact!), and this pattern is starting to happen at an industry level now with companies like Sony and Microsoft being to converge on Unreal while film production companies also begin to take adoption of it, as consumer hardware becomes very powerful, and the film/game convergence many of us theorized 25 years ago begins to come to fruition.
I’m joining a collection of incredibly talented people beginning to coagulate around Microsoft Xbox Game Studios and Epic, as we start to build a new Orlando location to join the party! Game on.
No
Elder Scrolls 6 will be a 2025 game. 2026 the latest.
Fallout 5 2028 launch title for next-gen.
You see the vision
There won’t be a next gen if we don’t stop the banished.
I wouldnt hold your breath for anytime sooner
These games take so much time to make, like a long ass time.
But will there be time for gaming?
Bethesda was literally pumping out games bigger than the last in a consistent manner before they spent the rest of their time overhauling the CE.
I dont think they suddenly forgot how to make games.
Game dev is way more complex these days, everything takes longer and is more time consuming
Ya’ll are crazy. That’s my 2c.
I think some still think its like the 360 and X1 era where games could be done in 2-3 years. These days its 5-6
Anyway, im still 50/50 we see Avowed at E3. With a slight leaning to it not being there.

You and me both
Interesting… Iron Galaxy is in Orlando, hmmmm.
Wait which part of the game industry do you work in?
