Been surprisingly very leak free so far that raises the excitement levels a bit.
I decided to make a graph based on last year’s showcase.
There were 30 games that was shown last year.
18 games have been released.
7 3rd party games have yet to release.
5 1st party games have yet to release and/or still ongoing live service or early access.
We know we will have Halo CE:R, Gears E-Day, MW4, Fable, and Minecraft Dungeons 2. That will make at least 10 1st party games. I don’t know if Grounded 2 will return again since they were at SGF or even other live service, but I would assume so.
There are 7 3rd party titles that haven’t been released, but many of which have appeared elsewhere or sometimes won’t show up again. If I were to guess, Resonance may appear again. That and bigger maybe with Beast of Reincarnation. I didn’t place P4R as questionable, because I got a gut feeling that it will return. It is a big game.
In my theory, that will make at least 13 games. Showcase usually have 30 games or close to it. That’s a lot of room to fill in. Maybe they won’t show some of ongoing live service games. I don’t think that would be the case, but you never know. Either way, 3rd party studios have room to fill in. One is highly rumored to appear, which would make another big moment. Time will tell if it does happen. The great advantages are XPA and XGP, so even when it’s 3rd party, if it has either of them or both, it makes it feel bigger than initial thought.

At worst, it would be outside Xbox studios that would screw up, so yes, it has been sealed well so far.
Well I’ve already gotten a lot of what I was wishing for this “E3 season,” except a Star Wars Jedi part 3 reveal, so here’s hoping that’s somehow at the Xbox show.

Almost time for us to see what The Coalition has been cooking with Gears.
It’s also going to be a bit weird to not have Phil in this for the first time in well over a decade.

Halo Remake looks amazing, if they can get this level of detail for a Halo Remake then I can’t wait to see Halo 7, but the PS5 logos is a big L.
I’m not sure I understand the logic there. A story-starting prequel could be a good place for new fans to jump on. But I’m sure they have metrics that show this is a good move.
Liking what I’m seeing. Liked the games so far.
