What happened? Was it canceled? Or is the game not in a good shape?

Upon quick research, they’re hiding their trailers. That’s not a good sign…

It doesn’t seem that bad? I guess they could be about to announce the delay they should have when the studios working on it switched? Or did I miss that?

Anyways the only thing that came up for me was KOTOR 2 dlc cancellation on the switch causing a class action lawsuit towards Saber and Aspyr.

What delay? They don’t even have a release window.

I remember them saying the game would still release on time after switching studios, I don’t remember any actual date given though.

That’s the thing. You can’t announce a delay when you have no window. That’s like saying Playground announcing delay to Fable when it has no window. Whatever they announce won’t be good with this kind of action.

It seems bad to me, the game has basically been wiped from existence. That tells me they are quietly killing it, no reason to do that for a delayed game.

It’s already night time, so too late to ask insider(s) about them.

If the tables were reversed, we’d see a portion of the fanbase calling for Phil’s job lol.

couldnt they just remaster it as it was? add trophys etc. thats all I wanted. I knew it was trouble when they hired someone to rewrite parts and she had mentioned before she hated star wars

That sucks. I was looking forward to the KOTOR remake and hoping that it was going to copy Final Fantasy VII Remake in regards to the real time combat mixed with some turn based combat. Oh well.

On the positive side, I never played the original game nor will I ever play it and thus, have no attachment to the game and since it was just a CGI announcement trailer, didn’t see the actual game so even less attachment.

It is what it is.

If cancelled, if anything, they should be praising Phil for dodging the bullet.

Well they can’t call for Jim’s job because he’s steeping down LOL.

Remaking KOTOR complete with a combat modernization isn’t something you should be attempting as your first AAA title. Bluepoint Games are remake veterans and even they don’t try to reinvent the wheel combat wise.

What an honor.

Explains why you would want it to play anything at all like FF7 which wouldn’t have fit at all , the game was basically Baldur’s Gate : Star Wars edition. Honestly wish MS could get the rights somehow .( as they should have to begin with obviously with someone other than Aspyr at the helm ) Obsidian or even Inxile would be perfect to remake it.

The outrage at the Xbox leadership team when Kotor was announced is going to be really funny reading back at some of what was said now.

Seems like Sony essentially bought some PR with that game announcement now, but of course there won’t be any backlash that it’s not out.

This could be a day one for me. I adore bullet time and I miss it so much.

2 years after this rather embarrassing meltdown and Kotor is playable on: PC, Switch and Xbox.
