Played KOTOR recently and I understand why remaking it would be such a nightmare. Donât know if itâs cancelled but at least rebooted and indefinitely delayed, maybe a completely new studio taking over.
Do we know if itâs RAGE, the engine? It probably is since Rockstar is making them, right? Iâm not sure, maybe it IS Remedy making them, then itâs probably the engine from Control, AW2.

Donât they have a lot of studios? Why donât Tencent or someone else that will keep these games for all platforms swoop in? MS canât.
Such a weird industry man. A constant cycle of instability.
The same companies right now offering to hire the laid off folks a new job will have their own lay offs in a year or so and the companies who laid off these recent people will be the ones hiring those said folk.
Cycle just keeps going.

I remember in the Xbox 360 era people warning that games were too expensive to make and that the industry will crash. Never happened but now it looks like we are on the way to it.
Iâm safe I only need my Starfield Forza Motorsport and Street Fighter but I think most of the traditional AAA that you complete in a couple of weeks are going to become a rare breed.
These layoffs werenât because of AAA games being expensive though. Itâs more insidious than that unfortunately.
Itâs bored rich companies making gambles that failed. Epic is not hurting for money at all. Embracer wasted billions on contingent on one deal.

Max Payne 1 and 2 are two of the best TPSs ever made
MP1 has aged gameplay wise but 2 still plays shockingly good, amazing rag doll physics too
Max Payne 3 is also amazing thanks to the gunplay but is lacking massively in terms of characters and story
Iv always thought Embracer was sketchy the way they were buying up everything but it turns out they really were just that dude with too much money that has no idea what heâs doing

How quickly Sony abandon these servers is shameful, they have to be one of the worst publishers for this
This one is bad especially because itâs very online dependant even single player modes
They did, for the campaign team. They have also had the hiring freeze removed and need to staff up to be able to make Halo in the future.

As someone who has zero interest Baldurâs Gate and knows what the game is, KOTOR remake would have been skipped if it was like that so I guess, either way, game is done for me. lol
While I wanted Microsoft to get it years ago, now, I donât really care. If they get it, great but if not, no biggie. Seems to be one of those games that just wasnât meant to be.
