Yeah that is how I am reading this. I think it means that game development moves over to gen 10 with the new dev kits in 2026.
It does seem that way yeah. But perhaps when MS saw what Sony was doing and not having a Pro console planned themselves, decided to go for 2026 for next gen.
Unless this Xbox Next IS a Pro and come June or so MS announces it, and that would mean Phil was fooling us all but I don’t see any sense in that and that’s certainly not his thing.
If they are doing a console in 2026 I don’t see them doing a Pro, not only because Phil said they weren’t but because a Pro in 2026 seems pointless
The rumour does seem to suggest a change of plans behind the scene but I wonder just how realistic this is when they have these things planned multiple years in advance. Though I guess we’re still within the timeframe where they could do that based on the schedule there.

Oh man. Gene Park was a guest on Xbox Two Podcast and he said something that will have PS loyalists crucify him. The show is behind wall for now; once goes into public, Godspeed.

I hope they do because I really dislike the idea of Xbox lagging behind Sony for about four years, and really, five more years of this gen just sounds too much anyway. I’m in favor of shorter gens again. And it’s potential launch lineup could be fantastic.
That’s the Jez and Rand podcast, right? I saw it on my YouTube subs just now and it seems they are discussing the Xbox going early plans as well. Probably won’t be anything new, but you never know I guess.

It would be nice if 2024 is the year that the website PCGamer just dies off. Yeah, seriously.
Their hate boner for Xbox, for Starfield is just out of this world, it would make IGN embarrassed. Today I’ve seen multiple tweets by them about Starfield and of course several of those with a picture of a few ugly NPCs, like you’d expect from fanboys.
That site is truly pathetic and I’d love for it to be gone. How does a website act that pathetic?

That is actually one thing the cult managed to ruin with all the shit surrounding this game. I quickly abandoned all attempts to discuss the game, consume content about it, watch videos etc. outside the OT here.
All that pops up is shitting on the game and it’s just depressing. Not worth wading through all the bullshit to possibly find something good.
