The other day I read something about how Nintendo can completely brick your system, it was about all kinds of stuff but there doesn’t seem to be any outrage over this.
This is why I find Does It Play so frustrating. It’s not that they present information that’s incorrect; it’s just so heavily slanted to publicize things that make Xbox look bad and politely ignore or minimize similar issues with Nintendo or PlayStation.
Nice! I still hold out hope that someday Namco releases a remastered R4 for consoles, still the best Ridge Racer and one of the best arcade racers of all time IMO.
How much do you notice the slower movement, more open areas? And is the platforming such as climbing truly gone or just not as much as Eternal? I for one really enjoyed that.
Yeah, platforming is still there but most of the levels are much more flat, so there’s not much jumping around although levels are larger than anything we have seen before.
I don’t want to say too much because there’s some good level design in there. But there’s no double jumping and dashes in space like in that level in Eternal if that’s what is bothering you.
It’s almost insane how many great moves Xbox made this generation and how the sales of the unit doesn’t match with the fact that it’s the best way to play games.
Strong Dreamcast vibes in how people hated it back then because it wasn’t PlayStation, but looked upon with endearment a decade later by the very people that hated it.
I came to this thread to post about this. I was through the moon when I saw this.
Also, I’d love Rage Racer. That said, a Ridge Racer collection is long overdue!
