For Mexico, I imagine it could be a mixture of the cost of games being more when compared to the average salary, so Game Pass is a much cheaper option to play games, and that Xbox is a pretty strong brand in Mexico I am led to believe.
In the UK, I can testify that the Xbox brand still has some relevance here, especially when compared to mainland Europe and XBox was more popular than PlayStation during the 360/PS3 era. This could be more evidence to back up my belief that Xbox could ‘retake’ the UK this gen from PlayStation.

I mean, the inception of this whole place was to get away from Reset, so I understand people not wanting this to become Reset 2.0.

Looks like a lot of fun. Will most likely be buying the game day one. I also really like the music.
Haven’t played Judgment yet but I searched it up and you are correct. Judgment doesn’t have any references to the main series besides Kamurocho itself. So no spoilers.

I’ve seen the forum software do that sometimes when the thread loading goes wonky for no obvious reason. It’s happened to me at least once. You hit Reply on the message you want to reply to and somehow it places a different message in the reply box. It’s like the message id tags used by the Reply functionality is off, likely when the thread was rendered by the client browser.

That’s true but a lot of the time there is no reason to bring up stuff from other sites, especially when it does not have much to do with the topic at hand.

That or seal it in it’s own OT thread so many of us can safely avoid it.
Bringing in drama from other websites doesn’t lead to any productive discussion though.

Most of the time, I’d agree. But not everyone thinks the same way. Also it depends what is actually said, what the context is, etc…
This is why I asked the question in my original post. Are we not allowed to even mention another forum in passing? What’s the deal? Is this a rule?
Hey everyone, we have no issue mentioning other places if the comment is informative or highlighting a positive thread or post. However this really isn’t the place to vent grievances towards other places. It doesn’t add anything to any discussion, it spreads negativity, and is not a good look on us at all. If someone wants to discuss drama or problems they have with other communities, they can do so on social media or take up their issues with the administration/moderation of those sites directly. We try to be a place of positivity and good in the industry and bringing in that kind of drama here goes against that objective.

I really don’t know what you’re getting at here…? Strict moderation of what can be discussed is literally what happens at Resetera… so how is exactly the same thing happening on this forum, getting away from it.
We don’t have strict moderation on what can or can’t be discussed here though. Asking people not to bring negativity surrounding other sites here shouldn’t really be seen as strict moderation because it isn’t. In no way does complaining about other communities or sites bring any form of construction conversation to this site. We are better than that.

I’m just speaking as me here, and this is considering I do not hold ERA in such low regard as many others, ERA (or at least some parts of it) are directly responsible for my current well being.
I find that a great deal of its worst points subject to hyperbole and wrapped up in lots of ill feeling over many slights real or perceived.
These I find to be amplified more by us being “free” of it, so more at ease to speak out about past ill treatment, but conversations become centred around it, they did this to x, look at this one person there is saying now.
Frankly the constant discussion about how bad “the last place was” is just non helpful, we say we wish to discuss sensibly without drama, and yet we are all too keen to invoke the painful memories of that last difficult ex. It is like saying we wish to be free without those dratted console warriors spouting nonsense, and yet we are happy to drag their humbug out to stare at in disbelief or shock. I just feel if we wish to be free of it then be free, let us all be free, and draw a line. If we agree that it had more negatives than positives for whatever reason, bias, lack of care with minority communities or whatever, what possible benefit could it give us to pick that scab some more. We have plenty to discuss and all the time in the world to discuss it.
So you all here, mean a great deal to me, like I said to Prog earlier, this place is somewhat of a safe space for me. Mentally I am in more of a good space space here than anywhere else. That comes in no small part from the communal understanding that we are somehow above that “bullshit” if we continue to invoke that bullshit by watching it unfurl yet again from the stalls, its no different to being there.
Personally, I agree with the sentiment that in the general nothing good can come from discussing, ERA, GAF, the worst parts of twitter or anything else, sure linking a post somewhere else for information should be free game, but to point and laugh or stir up ill feeling or some kind of “superiority” nah. We should concentrate our efforts here and on making this place different, on making it welcoming.
I don’t mean this toward you steve, you’re lovely, just using your post as a springboard, and Im a bit touched and weepy tongiht, so felt compelled to write from the heart.

So it is ok to mention or refer to other forums. That’s not against any rules & people will not be moderated for it, but you would prefer if people kept their grievances to themselves & didn’t start any drama? That about sums it up?
