Well in the present native gaming is still better than streaming yet so many think streaming is equal to native…

The two main points are 1. You don’t need an Xbox or PC right now if you are fine with streaming. 2. If you aren’t fine with streaming you will need a native access point which is xbox series x or s or PC.

It’s really simple consoles are still needed hence playing games native. Streaming side of it is irrelevant on where it plays as it is still streaming. And a little hint anyone posting for that steaming service is a Microsoft customer. The DLC and microtransactions would have to be through Microsoft also as I doubt buying dlc for a switch version would work with the gamepass version.

I agree, byut my point was that there are enough general purpose device for streaming outside Swich, which is a direct competitor.

2023 will be Fable, Hellblade 2, Perfect Dark, Everwild, Forza Horizon “Next” (cuz FH5 this year is gonna be “Cross” lol), Gears Next. Oh my god if 2023 is really gonna be like this list and most if not all of em are great, then sheesh, this forum gotta shut down cuz there’ll be nothing else being talked about

Xbox is shifting away from just being a plastic box. “Xbox” is going to be your account where you buy the games. It is similar to Steam. You have a Steam account where people aren’t worried about a specific PC to play games on, they simply own their games on an account not a box. This is why people ask for Steam on consoles… are they worried about what will happen to their PC?

I played Resident Evil without raytracing… and didn’t notice until the game notified me.

Lighting’s that good.

ooooorrrr tbh, the RT implementation in RE8 is pretty barebones.

Like for example, CP2077 on PC (speaking from my experience on a 1060) still looked amazing with no raytracing whatsoever, but with RT on something like a 3080? The game just enters a whole new level of eye candy and immersion.

RE8 looks pretty dope but Digital Foundry was right to point out that the RT implementation was pretty ehh and that you would be better off running the performance mode anyway.

So yall think Halo Infinite will have RT mode?

I would have said no but then it kind of looked like that new footage of Psychonauts had it in there so maybe if they where able to add it with the day then 343 would have been able to as well. Granted Halo is a massive game compared to Psychonauts.

The typhoon game being KI goes against everything @Shpeshal_Nick and @Jez have been saying ie yes, KI is not dead, but MS just hasn’t found the right studio/opportunity yet, and that they haven’t heard anything about whether or not it was indeed happening at the moment.
