That’s what I’m thinking. I want the game unaffected by the Ubisoft formula, and that could only happen under current Ubisoft if the risk is mitigated somehow, aka being funded by MS. If the game is funded by Ubisoft then it will be Splinter Cell in name.

Sony might actually be treating Final Fantasy like Spider-Man now and will keep paying Square for continued exclusivity. Just a feeling. They’re not even hinted for PC ffs

Pretty sure the WB game got cancelled amid its uncertainty in the merger.

Over the course of a year I bought AC Valhalla 3 TIMES.
Ubisoft and the franchise got me on a chokehold.
Just chucking that money at Ubisoft lol.
I’ve given up on it, even though it officially can’t get announced yet anyway because of that timed exclusivity. But if they do announce it, hey I’ll take it, and if not on GP I’ll buy it.

Honestly, for the time it could release (at least mid 2022), it will be old news, very old. I mean, it could be near FF16 release, lol. I can’t be excited for the “honor” a of 2 years later releases.
This would be really cool if it wasnt like the third version of the same feature in 7 years.
The next game from Eidos Montreal would fit.
