Yes, I would love to see a half dozen or so Xbox first party AAA games in the generation that are 1000% about the single player experience, but as others have said, a core philosophy does seem to be “better with friends” which I of course don’t agree with, but it is what it is.

Pokemon legends arceus blew my expectations out of the water, The game is damn fun. Its not graphically great (but frankly idgaf about that) but the new gameplay is a great foundation for, hopefully, the future of the series.

The MP better be there if they CAN and can do it well, Initiative is new and small and filled with mostly SP talent, Crystal Dynamics too and while big, they have no good history with MP, maybe Certain Affinity will be the ones handling it if true? But yes, I’d like it but on two conditions: 1) it has it be good and well thought out, 2) it doesn’t take away time/resource from the main team and vision for the game.

From what I saw, it’s a co-op do objectives kinda game with the creatures after you changing each game.

Seems like Certain Affinity would likely be handling it. I remember a while back a rumor from a supposedly reliable ( according to other Era ) insider that the Coalition were involved with MP. Not sure if that’s still or ever was the case as nobody in the know has mentioned it recently.
I found this 40 min of gameplay video, Has some slight spoilers but the game looks like a blast
Thanks but already watched it…three times. lol. It’s in the DL 2 OT that I created. Only difference is that the video I posted has Hollow on screen with commentary. Was part of a side quest preview from a few different YouTubers. Hollow, Oni Zombies, Rad Brad and Cohh Carnage.
Needless to say, im extremely hyped!!!

Like I said in the GWG thread, kill Gold right after Sony drops Spartacus. Take the wind right out that announcement.
The current GWG lineup genuinely seems like they are just shoving the cheapest stuff onto it for the sake of keeping it going. Maybe they’re waiting for a strategic kill.

With the acquisition of Activision Blizzard, my thinking is that once COD becomes exclusive to Xbox in 2024, that will be when they eliminate GOLD because it would bring in even more people to the eco-system as they wouldn’t have to pay to play online for any game.

I actually like this idea a lot. That’d be a huge middle finger to PlayStation, but I also think Xbox wants something lined up to replace Gold’s value proposition in Ultimate. Maybe they’re waiting on Ubisoft to come around first.

I think instead of eliminating Gold completely, they should keep it going but still make playing online completely free. Im sure there would be people angry that they would lose access to the GwG they’ve been collecting.
Keep Gold going but only for the free games if people still want them.
I hope it happens soon to get this out of the way. I don’t have PS Plus, so I would like something to convince me with their tier offering. I haven’t played an online game from them in a long time, because “multiplayer lol.” Yes, they do have some, but from third party and I’m already playing them in here.
You know, I wish there was a way to see the most played games in PS. Most downloaded doesn’t really help, because you can simply download and not play. I look at Xbox section for most played and it’s amusing to see how many people really tried out those games, especially from Game Pass, which hurts the narrative of “no one tries them.” Although I did laugh at Crash Trilogy to be in the top list at PS because well, yeah. Anyway, I hope this Spartacus come out swinging. Want my money? Sell it.

I dont think gold will be dropped until Game Pass subs reach a certain number. Gold probably still makes quite a profit.

The only reason Sony guys get on xbox guys about gold is because PS plus is all they got but it pales in comparision to gamepass which sony doesn’t have much to offer in comparison right now. I can care less about golds. Free games are free games at the end of the day but gamepass is king
