I think with post-Forge content and support, Halo Infinite is going to remain near top 10 (if not within it) a lot longer than people expect IMO.

Based on how it is trending on social media, a lot of players are seemingly coming back to the game due to surge of good Forge made content and also, Forge will give the game exposure to those who only want to create content and not bother with anything else the game has to offer.

It is impressive how big Forza Horizon has become. I guess people really like arcade racing and there is no other similar game on the market.

Man I think God of War might be the last full priced game I buy for a while. I think everything outside of the combat is either mediocre or bad. I do not care about these characters and think the puzzles are terrible. I stopped playing a few days ago and dont know if ill come back.

Actually, it’s been at 14 over here. Then it shoots up to 10 for some reason. I can understand if it passed Halo again, but more games were passed.

Punishment. Too much cancer on that platform.

I’ve been trying to find people to play with. Especially for a long term Halo co-op run though. Anyone have any suggestions?

More folks moving away from Twitter, latest is a long time game and engine developer Sebbbi. May just be folks testing the new places out, so who knows if it’ll stick.

I have no plans to move away from Twitter. I do expect following less news and only reading those that are posted here or on Resetera if they will be stopped being post on Twitter.

It will be like with Discord - it is huge, but I don’t use it at all.

So I’m playing Persona 5 Royal, I’ve got a dungeon all cleared out and am ready to leave it for the day so I can come back and finish it up later. I save and decide to do some persona fusing so I’m set for a good long while. 45 minutes later, I’m very pleased with what I’ve done.

I knocked out a few “fuse this specific thing” challenges, I’ve added a bunch of stuff to my compendium, I did some smart fusing and passed on useful skills so I have a good spread. I even managed to totally fit a persona for every confidant I have available and am going to pursue, for the bonus you get. And all traded up to my current level!

I leave the velvet room, I save, I continue on to the next day, see something funny, take a screenshot, hold down the Xbox button to check the image and… I get kicked to the dashboard.

“This game has an update available. Update or cancel.”

“Cancel” just kicks me back to the dashboard. I can select the game but the prompt comes back up. “Update” closes the game and updates it.

I would have been so irritated to lose all of that progress. SAVE EARLY SAVE OFTEN. Fix this shit Microsoft, it can be a real problem.

That’s frustrating but I must admit, not an issue I’ve experienced yet mostly because - of my (so far) 98 hours game time, all of it has been through xCloud.

Glad they fixed the network issues though, now we can get the network fusion bonuses without errors every few minutes.

For the Dutch Xboxers here…

That controller is a cool deal. I guess you can just trade in your old AF Xbox One controller and buy a brand new one for 17 euros. That is good stuff!

Yeah, I meant in my region.

I’m in the exact opposite boat but headed in the same direction. The presentation and story is still Sony Santa Monica level of polish, graphically its a powerhouse (though I have detected a ton of pop-in on my PS5) and the world is still lavishly built. I can’t STAND the combat and how slow/easy/repetitive it is, and because the pace of the game is already so slow, combat acts as a pad/filler between story bits. And I do agree, the puzzles are atrociously simple and pad-worthy again. This whole game is almost padding between cinema level cutscene. Its beyond frustrating.

That doesn’t sound good. Especially considering how fun as hell the combat was in the PS2 God of War games, and the demo fo 3 was pretty good too. I have seen so much praise for the combat for the 2018 game but I personally never really agreed with it. Played it at my brother’s place quite a bit and later at friend’s place too and combat never felt nearly as fun to me as it used to in the old games.

To be fair, this has been the way since forever in gaming. You save often, in multiple slots. Should be a habit if you have been gaming for more than a month or so.

You’d be surprised…

At least two friends of mine just overwrite the first save, even if they have multiple save slots they can use.

A while ago one of them had hours into Dragon Quest. He got a bug where the game kept crashing at a point, couldn’t progress on. So I tell him why don’t you load up a older save file? Turns out he truly had constantly been overwriting his one save file while the game offers multiple.

FAIL! :phil_lmao:

Funny you should mention that! In my irritation and haste, I mashed through and accidentally turned on the Guild thing, and it crashed the game soon after

The xCloud aspect is tempting, but with Quick Resume and all, I’d rather just stick to my console unless it’s remote play.

You’d think, right? I’ve heard so many stories about people who should know better, though. I even made a post in the Persona thread explaining about rotating saves, in case people who aren’t used to RPGs were curious about the game.

This is exactly what I mean lol. For what it’s worth, this might be the sharp lesson your friend needed!

Haha, yeah that is pretty dumb.

Yeah, it’s pretty common. I often wonder if this is the same people who eat crayons, lick lamp posts when its below freezing etc.

Maybe a holdover from the memory card days, when you were much more limited? Never want to go back to those days!
