Yep. I really hope they get to release some great games for Xbox too. I mean Bayonetta 3 is great, but you can see how the game is hamstrung by the hardware. It’s looking like a 360 game for sure.
If this was not exclusive to switch and coming for Xbox too at much higher resolution etc, I’d get it.
Well, Kamiya was begging to work with Microsoft, so it’s up to Microsoft to extend the hand. I don’t think there’s any harm funding a game with them if you can make reasonable milestones that work with both parties
I’d be down for that. But I’ve given up on Scalebound. Something else would be fine. And personally I’d like a SP game like Bayonetta 3 is, no other gimmicks.
Yeah, they are definitely flawed as a studio - I do think some of it could be better rectified with just giving them the budget and the freedom to make the games they want to make, but that doesn’t necessarily explain everything that has gone wrong - but Bayonetta reaffirms that there is still some great talent at the studio and it’d be interesting to see what they could do working with Microsoft in the future.
Now that you mention that with the recent news that the console game pass subscriptions are slowing down whereas pc sales speeding up - owning Blizzard is only making more and more sense.
They are limited by console sales at this point. And they won’t be able to sell more than 80-90m at best anyway. Console market is essentially limited - Series S might expand it a little bit, but I highly doubt.
Yup, so any move to push further into the PC market (and the mobile market) is only a good thing overall. Funny how for years the PC component of Xbox got so little attention but now it’s not only on equal footing but a major battleground for Xbox.
