XboxEra's 2025 Backlog Challenge |OT| Games...So Many Games!

Hahaha. All good brother.

It certainly wasn’t in my plans for this year, to buy so many games but I guess when the price is just too good…I just can’t resist. That’s my random ass nature.

What’s also my random ass nature is that I ended up starting with KCD1(curse you Free Play Days offering KCD2 a full weekend ) and haven’t been able to play much else when it comes to SP games. Ah well, as long as you’re having fun, right? :face_with_tongue:

So those sales games will all be for 2026.

Am I right in thinking this one actually wouldn’t count against you since you won it & didn’t buy it? That was my assumption, but I wasn’t positive.

That’s actually true, yeah.

OK good, I won a few and didn’t subtract them so wanted to make sure. Thanks!

Well… after staying strong all year, here we are - two days into the off-season and I’ve folded like a house of cards, lol.

Hogwarts Legacy (Xbox)
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 (Epic)
Berzerk Recharged (Epic)
Quantum Recharged (Epic)
New Tales from the Borderlands (Epic / free via Prime)
Fort Solis (GOG / free via Prime)

I think that completes my Atari “Recharged” collection on Epic. (Got most of them for free from Prime Gaming a couple of years ago.) Should be good games for my Legion Go… if I ever get around to it.

Nice haul! I’m very glad I have this competition to keep me in check for the rest of the year, as soon as that is gone the itch returns haha.

Just FYI, apparently you can’t have more than 15 items in your cart otherwise the OS will yell at you for having too much…

Don’t judge me, there are so many sub-$2 games/DLCs that I missed out on when they came out.

There are some really good deals there…

Yeah. The text in the gif isn’t correct at all, but meh.

  • Biped (played a demo of the second game and really enjoyed it. Perfect for couch co-op and in the upcoming two weeks my nephews and niece will come visit me again, it’s perfect.

  • The Letter: A horror visual novel (earlier this year I played a demo on my phone of this, really liked it. It’s cheaper on Xbox than phone now, go time.

  • Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 1. (Never played this before, always wanted to. Has a story mode, not just a fighter, nice)

  • Promise Mascot Agency (truly unique, quirky and seems like a lot of fun)

  • Creaks (sucker for adventure games)

All sales games of course. But i dont know what’s gotten into me this year, but I do know that I strongly intend to take it easy next year.

Brother…

FACTS!

The cool thing is that several of these games are ideal to juggle between something like KCD and stuff like that.

Finished The Last Campfire just now. A game I bought this year, so that’s nice!

Gonna see if I can finish another smaller game in these last two weeks. It’s good to at least finish some stuff and not only play KCD.

I liked that little game!

I’m just grinding the endgame achievements in Anthem, would like that completion before the game is shut down on the 12th.

I wish that game had gotten more content, it has a lot of promise and a lot it did well, just needed more diverse activities and more places and stuff.

And yeah the Last Campfire was great Staffy

Yeah, once you reach the endgame it’s obvious how barren it must have felt for those expecting a big gaas. Shame they didn’t fix it, it has lots of potential and the actual gameplay with the flying is awesome.

Also, screw shutting down games like this.

Is there going to be a new backlog competition thread for 2026? Thinking about taking part
