No interest in this one but for those who play it, I hope you all enjoy it.

Hey, no problem. I hope I will love it or at least have a good time with it. It’s definitely not for everyone, but I really really hope it’s a homerun for Remedy. From the reviews, it seems to be something truly special.

I will say that I’m not really digging it at the moment. They throw a boss at you in the first hour, while you’re still learning the movement system it’s not fair. I had to use the Assist Mode already. Environment are also confusing, it’s hard to know what to do and where to go.

Resolution is also quite low on Xbox Series in performance mode. I’m tempted to install it on my PC.

BUT characters, environments and the story are intriguing and much more developed already than in the first game.

OMG, I want to know the name of the developer who got the idea for that puzzle:

Very disappointing in this :frowning:

Don’t like the far bigger world & the graphics are a huge disappointment with PS3 levels of character models & modelling this is one of the worst looking new games I’ve seen in years, its looks like a very basic XBox One, where even Quantum Break looks more impressive at times

What a letdown in so many aera’s, but I’ve only just got past the 1st boss, which was far too hard IMO too. LOL

Same first impressions @gpldavie but keep going, it gets better.

Don’t forget to unlock abilities, weapons, etc. like me, by holding down on the Dpad. It brings you to Dylan’s mind palace.

Combat gets easier after unlocking abilities. I turned off Assist-mode as it was too easy. I like the combat system more and more.

Overall, I’m still a bit disappointed, but Control also had flaws at launch. And for the graphics, it’s a demanding game even on PC.

I’ve been very let down by this; its like a step backwards in every area, much like DMC 2 on the PS2.

But will continue on to see if it picks up

It’s weird for me to say that, as I’m not really a Souls fan, but I wish combat was slower and less button mashing. Resonant combat is fun, but it’s always the same rythme after a while. It could have been a more focused action game, as the camera is just way too far most of the time.

I don’t get how they still cannot nail the combat down, like it’s a central part of their games. Even after Control and Alan Wake 2, it’s still a bit clunky in Resonant.

That dumb DMC2 comparison is pure trolling… lol

Jesse’s explanation on why some players don’t find the game good enough/hard e.t.c. seems to be on spot.

Dude no offense but you impressions are all over the place, I can’t understand if you like the game or not - every post of yours reads like it’s from a different person.

Was thrown off for a sec with fighting The Artist. Thought I may have took a wrong turn and fought something I was not supposed to yet, once I realized that was EXACTLY the point I needed to be at, I fought it, came close to legit killing it, after many fails the game pushed enabling assist mode, so I did and with a few tweaks was able to get passed it. Now I see the opening credits and a certain familiar lady and the game truly begins. I’ll probably turn assist mode off until another boss kills me too many times, but it’s nice to know it’s there and this game is INCREDIBLE!..In my opinion at least

Yeah, I’m always like that. I don’t want to influence people too much! So I could be wrong, as I didn’t play enough at the moment.

Game has great vibes, atmosphere and the story is intriguing, but the combat, what you do most of the time, is not really tight. It’s serviceable and kind of fun, but I’m not sure it will hold me for 15-20 hours. I’m more of a shooter guy to be honest.

I’m also tinkering with the options, try to see if I can make it a bit more to my liking, just like in the first game.

Hello, CONTROL community!

CONTROL Resonant launched yesterday, and we want to take a moment to thank everyone who has picked it up and joined Dylan Faden in altered Manhattan.

We hope you’re enjoying CONTROL Resonant and taking your time with it. There’s a lot to discover, so we encourage you to explore!

Thank you to everyone who has been sharing their impressions with us. We are following your comments and feedback, and wanted to talk about a few things we are working on as we head into post launch.

When you beat the main story of CONTROL Resonant , you can still keep playing. Perhaps there’s side quests you haven’t finished yet – or even found out about? You can also discover World Feats, or start it all again in a New Game+ run.

The current version of New Game+ enables you to beat the game only once more, but we’re preparing an update that will add… wait for it… New Game++, which means you can start NG+ run after NG+ run, without needing to erase all your progress. Do 665 runs if you want!

NG++ should be arriving in October.

Photo Mode is coming. Do we need to say anything more? We’ve seen the comments – we hear you, you want it, and we want to get it into your hands. The Photo Mode for CONTROL Resonant is something we’ve been cooking for a while. We even consulted some talented virtual photographers from the community to help us make it the best it can be. The reason Photo Mode didn’t release on launch is because we needed to prioritize making sure the game was in the best possible shape.

We’ve seen gorgeous virtual photographs you’ve already taken – but once the Photo Mode releases, you can really go to town.

We expect to release Photo Mode sometime in November.

Have you enjoyed playing dress-up with Dylan? We’ve seen some… eclectic outfit combinations. You can look forward to more cosmetic pieces for our favorite former coma patient/prisoner/fashion icon in future updates – but more on that closer to the time. You still have to find all the cosmetics for Dylan in the game, and don’t forget about the newsletter exclusive cosmetics and the “test dummy” outfit you can earn by watching the game on Twitch right now ! (We know some of you are allergic to spoilers. We won’t be mad if you mute the stream and keep it running in a background tab just to earn the fit. We think it’s worth it.)

Thank you again for supporting us for the launch of CONTROL Resonant ! We look forward to hearing more of your impressions as you spend more time with the game. Feel free to join our Discord server to chat about the game with our welcoming community.

I’m pretty happy with my choices so far. X attack is Glaive, Y attack is Crush and LT power is this smokey floating shit that projectile attacks things.

Also loving how the game keeps you on your toes and forces you to chain all your movement abilities wisely

There’s a cut scene where Dylan answers a pay phone in Manhattan and feels like…Alan Wake 2

Because of course there is
