The cynical side of me is leaning toward it being done in the name of theatrics.
I feel Jez would have been a more effective leak, as he wouldnât hold back like how he did when he started Microslop.
Edit: Wanted to add, that Jez also has multiple sources, so he would have confirmed it and be extra critical if it was true about it.

Itâs been a long time since it felt like the left hand knew what the right was doing when it comes to Assassinâs Creed. The franchise hasnât been able to get a coherent story going since Desmond died because each new game goes off in a different direction instead of developing what the previous game set up. Itâs a bit like Halo that way. 
I donât know if this new team will really change anything. I feel like Iâve heard this before from Ubisoft.

I think Phil checked out a while ago. I think the business meeting was the last time he looked on fire. He seems to have been playing the retiree role for quite a while so I can believe he had discussed retiring with Satya but Satya probably sped it up. Sarah was passed up and resigned.

The ABK case both seemed like it sucked the life our of Phil and was a massive milestone for the team that hugely accelerated plans as they said. After 12 years of dealing with everything that comes with that. Mattrick was in charge of Xbox was what 4 years? Phil has held the role for at least 3 times that and seen constant promotions where under him the scope of responsibilities held by âXbox bossâ (later Microsoft Gaming CEO) massively increased. Retiring or moving on always felt on the table for him. Sarah was the greater shock. But really with all of this who freaking knows? Insiders will make their claims but we donât really have a way of verifying them other than other insiders⌠whom we also canât verify. Microsoft themselves can make official statements, but no one will believe them and some will form conspiracy theories based off of them. Itâs an impossible game.

Yep zScaler didnât seem to know XboxEra or had it marked as OK so I could access, but it first loaded DayOne in a sanitised window then later started blocking it.
Seems completely random as PureXbox is blocked but PushSquare isnât.
On the plus side I work from home so can just use my phone

Content blockers in general just always seem random. They really still donât know how to âcensorâ or monitor the internet.

Itâs part of why theyâre going with the opposite approach, of collect everyones i formation and know who everyone is. Doesnât really work because a determined enough kid, will just find a way around these things.

Yeah. Kinda a sidebar but how much tech companies tried to push the meta verse and are trying to push LLMs are insane to me because we as a species still just ARE NOT ready for the basic internet even. We keep fumbling how to navigate it safely and backtracking and finding ânewâ ways to protect people online that invent new problems and safety and privacy concerns. Governments really donât st all know how to regulate online platforms from search engines to social media.
