I would have been all up in that! I wish their single player fantasy game hadn’t been scrapped.

I’ll be honest, as happy I am for you to get it, this is my first time seeing the cover.

I’ll say it again:

Huh, the physical cover is a lot better than the one online. Are physical covers usually different like that? Haven’t bought one in a long time

I assumed this was what the cover would look like, I wasn’t really paying attention before launch to avoid spoilers since I heard that this game was leaked weeks before launch.

I think I saw several covers for this online, maybe I got the standard edition confused with the deluxe edition, I thought the standard edition would be the image I posted above but that seems to be the deluxe edition.

Regarding Sony porting their games to PC - the ONLY way for Sony to ever know how they would truly sell would be if they’re released day one. Unlike console gamers who are suckers for the most part, PC gamers aren’t giving any company full price for years old games. Hell, they barely do it for games that are months old. So when people keep acting like the revenue Sony made from the PC ports is nothing, not only is it not nothing, it’s simply not an accurate account of the revenue Sony could make if their games were day one on PC. It will be amazing and hilarious if they haven’t figured that out. Even more hilarious will be when PlayStation 6 even with full exclusivity is like $1000 and barely sells to anyone outside of the hardcore fanboys.

Once I get the Xbox/PC console hybrid and cross-gen ends for Sony (PS6/PS5), I will sell off my PS5 Pro and simply be done with Sony’s games because starting next generation, if you’re not releasing your games where I want to play them, then well you don’t get my money. It’s as simple as that.

When this generation started I was planning to get a PS5 Pro and catch up with PS exclusives mid gen, but when it released the price was quite the wake up call to me. Yeah, I thought it was overpriced and mad about that, but when the dust settled the price made me realize that I don’t really need or want every console anymore. Like I just don’t have the lifestyle for it and I don’t feel like dealing with multiple accounts and libraries and switching between platforms and having multiple consoles hooked up to my TV. Especially when, not being a minor under my parents roof anymore, I’ve spent the entirety of this generation in college dorms and now traveling where I can find work. I just don’t have a stable lifestyle and using different systems for XYZ game becomes such a chore that isn’t worth the asking price. I haven’t even touched my Switch in the longest and there’s exclusives on it that I really enjoyed. But I’d much rather only have one or two devices and I’d much rather that those devices can talk to and support each other. Plus there’s so many games I’ve purchased on Xbox or have through Game Pass that I barely ever get through. I’m not pressed to add something to that. Right now I just have my Series S and Lenovo Legion Go (handheld PC) with me because they’re easiest to take anywhere and setup. Last gen consoles and my Series X are at home. If I could probably squeeze in a switch 2 if I really wanted to and justify taking that anywhere, but I don’t even know when I’d play a Playstation 5.

While I have had a PS5 since February 2021, I traded it in along with my launch model Xbox Series X to get a PS5 Pro as it only cost me $60 out of pocket. I traded in the Series X because I had bought the 2TB Galaxy Black edition and didn’t need two of them so I decided to do the trade in and get the Pro.

Thus far, I have only completed Lost Soul Aside on it. I pre-ordered the digital deluxe edition of Yotei and five months later, I still haven’t played it. I did buy the Sons of Sparta game since I had credit on my account and only had to pay $8 so I was like, what the hell, I’ll give it a shot. Played a few hours of it and liked what I played but then the Arc Raiders update hit so that went in the PS5 backlog. lol

I also own a Switch 2. Bought and played Metroid Prime 4 and made it up to where acquire the bike and I was just bored and not really into Nintendo. I had Super Mario RPG for about two months but sold it to a friend at work today as I already reset my Switch 2 this past weekend after retiring MP 4. I’m not a Nintendo guy at all. 12 completed Nintendo published games in 30 years come September. I’ll watch Nintendo games on YouTube, get a little hyped to play them but when I actually do, I realize time and time again that they’re just so old, outdated and obsolete that my interest to actually play through a Nintendo game anymore just isn’t there.

With all of that said, I have wanted an all in one console since SNES/Genesis and I know PC is basically that but I want the streamlined ease of access of a console with the power and options of a PC. So with the Xbox/PC hybrid, I’ll get to retain all my Xbox stuff which the platform that I play on 95% of the time and prefer to stay on while getting all the PC stuff including Steam/Epic as well as Ubisoft+ (which is already available on the Xbox Series X/S) and EA Play Pro.

While im trying to sell off my Switch 2 and it will be gone no matter what by June, I’ll keep the PS5 Pro until the PS6/PS5 cross-gen period ends and then just be done with Sony’s games because im not spending thousands of dollars on two consoles (Xbox/PC and PS6) when I play on of them 95% of the time if not more.

Funny part is that so many people say that Sony has no competition but yet, if that was true, why would they stop porting to PC? Xbox/PC hybrid IS competition and if it releases, so is the Steam Machine. But whatever Sony does, Sony does. I like and enjoy majority of their games but do I need to play them? Nope.

Okay so there’s probably nothing to this, but it is kinda funny that Phil retired right before the marathon beta lol. He is a huge Destiny guy!

I haven’t played the recently released version, but what I played of early access was really good to be honest and it’s a very good looking game. Definitely deserve more praise.
