Being a millennial, I’m honestly so tired of being forced into the nightmare created by the US and Israel, every couple of years. I have no doubt it mess up with our mental health. Sigh.

RE9 looks amazing on the Ally X. Can’t wait to play it on my Series X eventually. Sucks it’s not Play Anywhere.

Yeah, it is really inconsistent when it comes to RE games and play anywhere. I have all of them except RE9 on xbox and only RE2R, RE7 and RE8 are play anywhere.
I would love to be able to play all of the games on my PC as well as on my console.

I have a feeling a lot of the big publishers want to get that double dip money and wait it out until sales flatten and then add it to play anywhere.
I think one thing the could do initially at least if they’re so scared of losing money, is maybe have a 10$ extra you could pay to own both versions. I don’t like the precedent it sets though, but if it were like that for a year maybe and then drop it completely, maybe it’d be acceptable?

Probably true. Also, as long as the ecosystem is not wholly unified it will be acknowledged as two separate versions.
ACG didn’t play it, but it’s a good summary video of things. I really hope this game delivers!

What I’d love to see is Microsoft offer play anywhere games the cut on the PC store as an incentive. “Make your game Play Anywhere and on Xbox consoles as well as PC we’ll only take 88% of the sale.” Though it seems like they’re going to naturally do that anyway if they go the hybrid route next gen. It could still be a good lead in for the meantime to bring more games over onto play anywhere.

Capcom so far likes to bring out new titles with no XPA enabled at launch and only do it for smaller or port titles.

Could be a good incentive as well. My guess is the amount of people that buy 2 version anyway is probably a very low amount, so that extra money they’d get from people buying from the Xbox ecosystem would probably more than make up for it!

IIRC no. The last time I saw it mentioned was on a Jez Corden windows central article talking about how it wasn’t clear what cut play anywhere games get. It seems like if you buy on PC the devs still get the better cut than if you buy on console even though it’s the same game.
Looking at the metacritic score for the new Pokémon is showing me Microsoft needs to revive viva piñata franchise. I think it was ahead of its time and gamers are more into leisure games these days
