Some of my games will be slipping into 2027 as well. Luckily, I did complete 007 and Pragmata. Both are great games and if you like immersive sims, you’ll love 007.

As for Crimson Desert, I passed on it at launch because it had too many things that I wasn’t a fan of and while majority of those complaints have been solved, the main issue is that it’s too big of a game and with The Blood of Dawnwalker around the corner, wanting to replay The Witcher 3 next year before the new expansion releases and of course Fable in February, it’s become the odd game out for me.

This also means that the Xbox version is also delayed since it was coming after the PlayStation version. In all honesty though, I have so many games to play, I can easily wait for this one.

So I tend to take a cynical view of stuff like this. Should people be harassing Sony customer support? No. Is Sony right to want to protect their employees? Sure.

But this always seems to play out when a corporation does something wrong and people are justifiably mad. Then the company wants to start talking about the threats they’re getting. No one sane is going to disagree that that’s bad. It is bad, obviously! It should go without saying that threats are unacceptable no matter what. It also shouldn’t change the conversation away from whatever issue people are justifiably mad at.

There will always be bad apples who take things too far. Always. It shouldn’t happen, but it will, and it shouldn’t be something that the corporation gets to point at and say, let’s all condemn this instead of focusing on why people are mad at us.

Yup.

Seeing the news around it, Sony using employees as a shield for critisism was my first thought. It sucks for the people that have to deal with angry people that refuse to boycott Sony, but expect to get what they want.

Frankly I wouldn’t even bother to discuss this topic anywhere but here because no matter how you try to qualify it, the response would be, “How can you defend fans harassing Sony?!” It’s like, one, I’m not defending that, but two, can’t you see that Sony would rather have us talking about fans behaving badly than their own bad behavior?

(Not a Sony specific thing btw, any company really)

I think my response would be:

A) Fuck Sony

B) I don’t condone it, people should just boycott Sony or move on to PC gaming like I did with Xbox.

Squenix denying the renewed rumors of it going public. Apparantly it was something rumored by an investor that holds 18% of the shares.

Sony? Imo, no not at all. They’re putting on their human shields to deflect criticism after all.

But people should be mindful they’re not seen as just yelling at a random person trying to do their job. Because that’s what Sony’s looking for to play the victim card.

Sadly I don’t think the gaming community knows how to be mindful on their best of days. Can’t imagine the vitriolic shit the people will say now when they’re seeing red.
