It will be a hell of a showcase.
Microsoft is the rampocalypse (like at least 30%), so they could likely arrange something for Xbox(lol, probably not).
I guess theyâll be talking about it together. Was it this year that he said they would be giving us more info? Because it feels like it was forever ago.
Xbox does at least. Project Scorpio (the Xbox One X) got revealed ahead of time and there was even a whole âProject Scorpioâ Xbox One X edition.
I donât know but I think what occurred today is a definite yes. Crazy she just announce it like a casual Thursday. No build or anything, and that alone drew attention.
I know we are all expecting Steam and EGS to be on there, but have we had MS saying anything about this officially? Because the idea of that excites me the most and I really wouldnât mind if MS made this official sooner rather than later.
I donât mean it as Windows running Steam, obviously weâll get that, but also actual Steam app/store while running console mode. So to speak.
Ok, good to know. Iâm going to throw this thought out there. Do they rebrand away from Xbox? I think the core customers would hate that but this new device is something pretty different from past consoles. And a rebrand could help with negative online discourse. Pretty extreme idea but you never know. The little logo animation even has a new sound effect.
Thatâd be really surprising and downright impossible considering the work theyâve put into making the Xbox App on PC feel more like playing an Xbox console and just push Xbox as econompassing the experience on PC as well as console. Xbox is still a very powerful brand. Project names are also typically short lived. I donât think thereâs any case of Xbox announcing a project name and actually using it for the device it refers to.
RIP to all those commentators who were 100% sure that Xbox was exiting the hardware business I guess? ![]()

Iâm glad is getting through and people are already going âXBox no gmaeâ âded arivalsâ, to fight the message, because Sarah confirming the next gen always ended with everyone saying she was lying or it wouldnât work(which I think theyâre doing so now). But now itâs real because theyâre going to start the marketing, first they say the code name, next is talking about the tech and after the announcement of the box with a first look.
Donât worry. Theyâre now either 100% sure it still wonât happen or 100% sure it will fail because âexclusivesâ (which is hilarious as the confirmation is that it will play all your Xbox and PC gamesâŚ)
Teach me!
Itâs gotten real for Xbox and everyone that said it was dead.
Yeah, I spoke too soon. Already seeing people still committed to the idea that this hardware isnât real and Microsoft is just trying to trick us.
My hope for this is that the UI and âconsole experienceâ is really polished and good. Also fully featured backwards compatibility.
These people might actually want to get their heads checked. Thereâs not even really evidence of Xbox exiting hardware. They just keep fabricating stuff and twisting reality. If all it took was bad hardware sales then Nintendo shouldâve exited after the WiiU. If all it takes is the parent company changing and restructuring leadership then Sony shouldâve exited when Jim Ryan was out.
I like the sound effects and didnât want to be on twitter to listen.
Asha is a different breed of Gaming CEO. Violent Asha confirmed in the building. Shit just got real!
