Tbh, I prefer it that way. I don’t care much about the opinion of pundits, specially when they try to tell me what games I should like and what ones I should hate. I’m just here for the trailers.

Idk about that, Alan Wake also won lots of awards. Also it winning game of the year while losing adventure game of the year makes no sense.
That and Cyberpunk getting best ongoing apparently lol

they are rushing through awards and rushing award winners off stage inbetween copious amounts of ads (trailers). Geoff still can’t get the timing right for these awards, or just accept that he has to show less trailers.

Rapid fire awards basically makes them worthless IMO
Geoff found out that having trailers and being the “new e3” made the show much more successful. Most people don’t like to see pundits shoving their opinions on our throats, that’s why other awards shows like the Oscars are dying. Geoff saw that and made it a E3 like show.
Anything else for xbox is expected?

I can kinda agree with Cyberpunk. The expansion was amazing, and 2.0 and 2.1 were one of the biggest free updates I’ve ever seen for a singleplayer game.
But it’s not an ongoing game. That opens the gate for basically any game that gets a DLC and updates, like 80% of open world games
I kinda think he should just to a TGA showcase separately at this point. Put the big hitters in the award show but have a showcase the day before.

Most of the judges probably didn’t play DOS2, for a lack of bears. Also, it’s best multiplayer game, not a game with best multiplayer award.
After C2077 was best ongoing game, that is not even surprising.
And last I’ve heard of best Action-Adventure game is that it’s dipping in fps when there is too much action, so there is that.
There are barely any rules involved, so judge’s panel can just play favourites. Indie game from devs owned by massive publisher, single player ongoing games, etc.
I’m guessing that Final Fantasy Rebirth will be the last trailer. I don’t think that there will be any other big game trailer here
