Xbox Developer_Direct Showcase coming January 25th. Redfall, Forza Motorsport, ESO, and Minecraft Legends. Starfield show in the works

Rumor is they show Starfield deep dive in FEB and release the game in MARCH, which sounds crazy, but Todd did say that he want to release game close to announncement as possible.

That’s a new rumor then? Hearing it for the first time. Right now I don’t see this happening, simply because it’s so unusual but I will throw a damn party if it were to actually happen.

That would line up with a previous rumor that Starfield will release before Redfall but still, huge major grain of salt.

Yep. And it’s true that Todd said this, but I wonder does this count for Starfield too? Reveal was long ago. Fallout 4 definitely was one example, 76 too. But it’s still possible. A second deep dive can maybe considered a re-reveal? But despite that, I still believe they will want to market this for a while after the dedicated show.

I also wonder when press are going to get to play it. I remember the previews for Fallout 4 in the months leading up to release. Surely Redfall, FM and Starfield will get previews.

Today really was the day, ayo!

Do we have any hope they will show something for Halo Infinite? Maybe a trailer for season 3 or something?

No, it for the other games listed to get their shine. Why does Halo have to be at everything? it is not 2007 anymore.

I personally though s3 might be a good time for a relaunch, since it’s pretty feature complete. That doesn’t hit until March though.

Well 343 can do their own Halo stream that they been doing to show it when it ready. No need to take valuable time away from other games to show Halo.

There’s definitely enough time for a 3 minute trailer out of a 45 minute show. They won’t spend 10 minutes on ESO when a more focused show is right after

Ehh, I rather not 3 mins trailer of what really? Unless that rumor Battle Royale mode is ready it won’t change much if anything at all. They need to wait and do a full stream breakdown on the Halo Channel.

The point would be re-introducing Halo Infinite to a new audience not pushing to the existing audience. That is part of the benefit of events like this and why we will continue to see GaaS games even though some of you guys complain about it.

I’m sure the people that love Halo is playing it and the people that are intrested have already try it. There is really not this new audience for Halo. Halo is not a new IP lol

Could maybe get a quick trailer but they did show off a bunch of season 3 already so it’s maybe not super necessary. It would be nice to see them start pushing Halo Infinite more now that it’s doing better.

There are plenty of people that started with it, stopped it, and can be convinced to come back. They have to be looking to grow the userbase, not keep it consistent.

They wouldn’t be making a BR if they didn’t want to reach a new audience haha, if they wanted it consistent they wouldn’t be making a BR and just kept with the 4v4 arena style.

Better to introduce or re-introduce player to Infinite when the content is actually closer to release. I imagine 343 is still working to get cross-core and the progression system ready to launch for Season 3.

Microsoft was very specific about what will be in the direct, but it seems that some people insist on assumptions and that somehow these assumptions end up becoming expectations.
