Xbox Game Studios |OT7| Killer News Here!?

I agree with everything apart from the last bit.

I’d kill for full more full price AAA games that last only 8 hrs. Put the effort into quality not length… as they say.

Imagine TLOU2 with the same budget but half the length. Glorious.

PD wont launch in 2023 neither will Fable

First, this is not about saying anything is better or worse.

I think Hellblade 2 will have the tone, quality, cinematic grandness, importance to rival those games from Sony.

The others are too much of an unknown atm.

Nobody can possibly know, but say you are right we might not even see it next E3. Avowed seems pretty certain for a reveal next E3 though, I’d say it’s long overdue around that time since the debut was two years ago by then.

I feel quite good about Perfect Dark launching in late 2023.

The project was essentially in a similar spot to Hellblade 2 earlier this year. They built the vertical slice and were at the point of needing a bigger team to begin building the rest of the game, though unlike NT, Initiative turns out to be partnering with studios like Crystal Dynamic as they enter full production.

I’ll believe PD is a 2024 game when MS tell us it is.

Well ok not saying just games like GoW and TLOU which not even Sony themselves make all the time. GoT, Horizon, Days Gone, etc.

Perfect Dark is a major AAA franchise and the building of the game just started. Its at least 4 years away.

Avowed is a great shout, we may hear something new at E3.

TGAs 2022 is 100 though

Oh sorry, I meant Fable

PD definitely seems far away, on the other hand with Crystal Dynamics now helping out…

Part of the success of games is their character development, additional details you find and that you get to mold the experience to make it your own.

I would hate if the major games just started targeting short experiences. I like to game not play through a movie.

Eh maybe before CD was working on it. That shit got expedited with that team.

Ok, Hindle… not like you’ve said the same thing 10,000 times.

its not a rule , a game can be 8 hour long and be crap and it can be 50-60 hours long and be a masterpiece ( the witcher 3 , breath of the wild , divinity original sin 2 , persona 5 royal , RDR 2 )

And I don’t mean those games exactly, I mean games that attract that similar audience, can also add Assassin’s Creed to them.

It’s Chris Dring, so…

Good that he finally saw the light though. He was arguing with me on twitter a while back about whether the XGS offering this fall was impressive or not, lol. Guess he changed his mind.

They don’t need replicate anything, just attract different types of games and tastes.

It was playable at the start of 2020, Phil played it. I think it could come in late 2023. 2023 was the year the original game was set in, not that that should mean anything (didn’t work for cyberpunk…)

yeah , microsoft needs to focus on WRPG games
