Xbox Presents: A Special Look at STRANGER THAN HEAVEN

Ooooh , facts. The backlog is disgusting, lmao.

Quite a few top quality games still in there such as KCD2 and I haven’t even bought Crimson Desert yet. Yakuza wise I was in the middle of 0 and never finished it. Once I start with it again I’m gonna start over again with the story.

By the way, what is best way to play Yakuza. Release order or chronological?

Play from numerical order. 0-6 then Like a Pirate, then A Man with No Name, then Infinite.

Ok. Will do. I was wondering because some of those games are quite old and after having played the better looking and playing game (0) i assumed it might be a bitter pill to swallow to play the “aged” ones.

This looks insanely cool. The vibes, settings, music. I had no luck with the Yakuza series as I felt they had too much of themselves, but I loved Judgement, truly hope STH more like that one.

Yakuza as in Like a Dragon saga or the old ones? This one will follow the old style, only completely revamped.

I played 0 and a couple of the LaD games, and while I enjoyed them for maybe 10-15 hours, I was especially intrigued by the story in 0, but it kept throwing more stuff at me that I got overwhelmed with so many distractions. Judgement and Lost Judgement I thought were perfectly balanced and paced, their stories were amazing.

Got it. Yakuza does have a lot, but they are optional. Ignoring it would make the pacing better, but that’s up to the player. I’m pretty certain this one will be more to Judgment for balance with more or less Yakuza focus theme.

I did 7 to 8 to Lost Judgment so umm… don’t ask me. I need to finish (I’m at the very last part but trying to do all the side stories) 8 and then Lost Judgment. Then I want to play Pirates. Now there’s Stranger than Heaven. If I get a hyberbolic time chamber and finish all that maybe I’ll work my way backwards? At this point I’m worried about new Kiwami’s popping up with more changed story content.

Stranger Than Heaven won't have a dedicated dub for English this time around. Makes sense to give the jp VAs the chance of speaking in bilingual conversations. pic.twitter.com/6BBljCkWmX

It appears to take Tekken 8 approach, where everyone will speak in their native language for immersion. I like it.

It’s a shame we can’t get Shenmue on this engine.

Doing pretty good numbers between Xbox and RGG channel. I need to checkout the Sega channel numbers too.

Unrelated: Max’s reaction to Star Fox design ending with appreciation to FF7R got me laughing.

Much better numbers. I guess people just had to wake up. It was at a slightly odd time. Here in Japan it was at 8am. That’s like morning commute time and it was a weekday (the first workday after the golden week holidays actually) so people were busy. In the States it would’ve been pretty late at night (really bad on the west coast). Hopefully the video has really good legs.

Bummer. I definitely prefer a full English voiced game. I gotta be honest, Im just going to fly through the dialogue now by spamming the A button.

The story in this could be epic. Enjoyed the presentation.

I like Snoop, he’s always cool to me and his first album is a classic.

But he really feels out of place in this game to me, or at least in the footage. It’s just 100% Snoop and he’s not even trying for a different accent or anything. Of course it’s not a deal breaker, but I’m not sure about that.

I’m kinda thinking he is only in game early on during say first chapter/era. Less as the game goes on.

Could be. But I read somewhere that he’s a very important key character.

I guess we’ll see. I’m sure it’ll be fine. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Definitely should keep doing this more often, Xbox.
