XBOX Showcase 2026 | June 7, 2026

Xbox has been doing that for years now. Heck, cross gen 4 year old Forza Horizon 5 say a lot. Sony hasn’t been delivering much at all as a publisher this generation.

Ending it with COD despite it not being day one Game Pass is a choice.

I definitely will watch the Direct again. Some stuff was just odd to me. It’s small things but they do stand out. When Marcus runs you can see the legs, normally he would duck run/sprint and you don’t see the legs, he also has a weird running animation, lol.

Also Marcus in civilian clothing…that was very unusual, but that’s cool, it’s new. And I hope they “fix” hit reactions, it seems a bit off compared to previous games.

I liked the games, but this year marks 25 years of Xbox. I really expect that they talked more about the future of the plataform.

I know that they warn before about this, but it’s a great opportunity lost. Don’t need to be about Helix, they can say about the Windows or the XBOX OS that they are improving for example.

Maybe announce more games to Retrocompatibility now that they have Activision for example. More collection games from the past.

I love the Activision Games for atari 2600, but all of they are inside of the Game Pass tier, i can’t buy and play offline if i want.

Gears being exclusive is great, but Halo will go to PS5? Yeah, don’t look great for me.

Call of Duty is the greatest franchise, but really, being the last game again? We need different games for the last spot.

I feel like they’ve committed harder to multiplayer definitely being multiplatform day one, so I think the next major Halo probably won’t be console exclusive.

Surprised at the lack of platform announcements. Backwards compatibility was teased to return. Are they saving that for something? What event would be better to show it off than now? Did it not pan out?

The Xbox Series X is announced in The Game Awards. Maybe they want to make this again.

Don’t know the numbers, maybe more people watch this event than the Xbox.

Set my alarm so i’d get up at 3am to watch, snoozed alarm then woke up about 6:30am. Oops haha.

Just watched the showcase now, pretty lacklustre compared to previous years for me personally. Fable, SoD 3 and Clockwork Revolution are the only things that i’m keen on.

Maybe. Pretty unfortunate for their own big 25th anniversary showcase though.

You’re right!

After the show and being well… ngl…underwhelmed overall I didn’t pay too much attention to the Direct. Now I did and wow, yes, this is looking damned good. The new moves like sliding, jumping will go a long way, it’s small things but important.

The running/sprint in the first demonstration looked off because ever since the first game we’ve had that duck run/roadie run but in the Direct it looks fine. This is an awesome way to show of your game. I’m in! :fire:

I really loved this showcase! Asha made a statement with Gears and Clockwork being exclusive. I’m shocked that Ninja Theory can make Senua in 3 years. This is what we need from the smaller teams. Seeing Gears, Fable and Halo back to back to back was epic!! Xbox Games Studio is cooking! This is what we been waiting for since 2020. The Xbox green translucent 25th anniversary console looks amazing, I dreamed of buying one. I think it was funny that Call of Duty was the last thing. That 68 billion has so much influence. I give this show a 9.5/10. Welcome back Spyro!!

This so much, the “prestige” banner for the Sony 1st party games has slowly lost it’s color . Their games look so generic and boring IMO plus Xbox’s 1st party studios have upped their game in terms of visuals and presentation across the board.

Also @Staffy I really don’t know what you expected visuals wise this gen if E-Day looked underwhelming to you. There’s a lot of cool new animations/animation transitions in there, lighting and materials look very very good (w/ RTGI), scale and geometry look super impressive and there’s destruction in the environments too on top of that. And all this will run at 60fps on a freakin’ 6 year old ~500 euros console aka Series X which is not an easy feat at all.

Senua, Metro 2039, Fable and E-Day are candidates for the best visuals this generation…all looked amazing ΙΜΟ.

Was also glad to see Wo Long got a sequel, underrated souls like. I may fire up the first one again for another playthrough. Hope all the fast paced stylish character action/souls like/hackn slash’s games continue coming to Xbox. The flashier the better, give me all the sparks!

Agreed Xbox studios have been knocking it out of the park visually. lol If E-Day looks "underwhelming " my question is “compared to what?”

Yeah I retracted what I said before. The Direct really won me over. Big time! Really hoping this is what it looks like on XSX too. It likely was shown on PC. But XSX can definitely do this. Hopefully with the raytracing too.

If Gears 4 and especially 5 are an indication I am pretty sure that E-Day will look amazing on both Series consoles.

Also the updated movement can bring a lot of cool new stuff to the level design of the campaign this time around (and in the multiplayer too of course) for the game. Exciting times ahead!

The official trailer didn’t show it in the best of light but the Direct made it worth the wait.

FH6, E-Day, Fable, and Senua look as good as anything from the AAA PS studios but I think Naughty Dog still has an edge over everyone else when it comes to first party, especially animations and small details.

So Spyro is published by Activision which I found interesting  I think it would’ve served if it was under the Xbox studios brand, but maybe they want the Activision publishing part to actually do stuff beyond CoD.

It might just be easier? Toys for Bob is independent now but Activision is who they worked with and technically who owns the Spyro IP. It’s just that Xbox is the top dog parent company now.
