Had it happened to Spencer it would be the exact opposite reaction, well, by level headed, normal adult people. I’m absolutely excluding GAF and RE nutjobs (not the good posters there).

Alan Wake 2 looks great but it looks so slow and boring to me which isn’t surprising because I played the remaster and dropped it halfway through because i was bored out of my mind.
Expecting a low to mid 80’s score and it be a really good game. I’m not the biggest Remedy fan but I am looking forward to the Max Payne 1 and 2 remakes.
I believe you are right, would have to pull my copy but pretty certains it’s still working to this day.
You liked Control? That one bored me to death, but I liked Alan Wake and AW2 looks awesome, very much my vibe. A fan of Twin Peaks and True Detective, that is among my “dream” type of game.

Same, I was soo hyped for control because I love remedys story telling but I just couldn’t connect with control on any level. Loved every game and looking forward to AW2

I dropped that about halfway through as well. I loved the combat/gameplay and destruction in Control but wasn’t into the story/characters or that you’re basically just in a building the entire time. It was cool that the building would “transform” even though it was all scripted. It wasn’t as boring as Alan Wake because of the combat as I am a combat/gameplay guy first and if these aspects bore me, your game won’t last. With Control it was that I just wasn’t feeling the story/characters and while I loved the combat/gameplay, it still became boring after a while and the map system was horrible.
I agree with you in regards to what Remedy is going for with Alan Wake 2. No argument there. I watched all the gameplay videos and just watching it, im bored so I already know that if im playing it but nothing really is going on, im going to be bored.

Luckily for me, starting this coming week, I have Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Marvel’s Spider Man 2, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, possibly RoboCop: Rogue City but it’s 50/50 and then Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora which im super hyped for.
Alan Wake 2 does look amazing though, that’s for sure.

It’s impressive that they were able to make such a unique concept and setting with Control and somehow make it extremely boring
Boring enemies, uninteresting story and characters, extremely repetitive combat and levels
The destruction and physics stuff was nice but all the important stuff wasn’t

AW2 is probably a game you need to play yourself, really be sucked into that atmosphere, but then I really enjoyed the first one, the standalone not so much. I thought the first one was really tense in those woods and those spirits coming after you. But it’s definitely a game on the slower side compared to Max Payne, oh fit sure. And yeah, those remakes can’t come soon enough. Watched a YouTube Short of the second one yesterday and it’s quite surprising how well that still holds up animations and visuals wise.
As for all the other games, man you then realize what a crazy year for gaming it has been so far. And I haven’t even played Hogwarts Legacy yet or Jedi, and so on.
We also have to acknowledge that Sony have the exact data and on how many players it has and can make an informed decision. I doubt there were many playing to make it worth the cost keeping it up with GT7 around.
I finally convinced my big brother to get a Series S to play Starfield !
I can’t wait to get his impressions. I share my games with him so he may try some of them too.

I’m having quite some fun with Disney Speedstorm, it helps that I won the first online race I played. I’m grinning when Donald Duck laughs.
