It’s come to a point for me that I’m like…cool cool, we’ll see. What I don’t like about these kind of things is that we don’t even have a time frame at all. Next year? Could be, but it’s SE, 2026? Possible too. It’s unclear to me if development has even begun yet.
Plus, I could swear FF16 was one of the games Jez said we should expect in a not so old tweet. Then again, that might have been a tweet where what he said was taken out of context. I’ve definitely learned my lesson there too.
We’ll see when, in the mean time crazy amounts of amazing titles to play anyway, both coming out soon and the ever growing backlog.

I legit think they do. The old CEO almost bankrupt the company by taking Sony deals, and then putting games on epic game store. I think this new CEO wants to right some of their wrongs. I assume FF7R won’t happen until trilogy is complete because it wouldn’t shock me if Playstation created an xbox exclusion deal for it

Only MGS4 is like this, where it feels too movie heavy and the pacing suffered really badly because of it
MGSV is one of the most gameplay heavy games out there to the point where many MGS fans (like me) hated it at the time because of how much of a backseat the story took
That being said, it’s still by far one of the best third person stealth action games ever made, its almost a decade old and it still makes new games feel bad, I still very much dislike the story and characters and the open world itself is pretty meh but the tools and gameplay within it all is still the best of the best

This is what I think fuels Geoff Keighley as well. This desire for games to be more like movies. And that’s why he loves Kojima so much.
Which is why I, as an arcade gamer who prefers gameplay over all else, can’t stand that this one attitude having a disproportionate influence on this industry. Because I do appreciate those titles as well. I just don’t think they’re the end all be all. I appreciate all of the MGS games and I also appreciate all of the walking simulators with little to no gameplay, I love playing all of these… I just don’t think one aspect of games should be valued over all other.

Their choices are marketing with Xbox or no marketing at all because Sony never bother with it before.
It’s so weird that when Atlus is getting actual marketing people are angry because Xbox is the only 3rd party company that cared enough to do so.

They’re just pissed the PlayStation is dwindling, Atlus is up ever since going with Xbox. Sega and Atlus spent last gen with Sony and almost faded into obscurity just look how badly SE and Stellar blade have fallen.

I know it won’t happen but I honestly want Persona 6 to show up for the first time at the Xbox summer show case.
Also I love how he contradicts himself in the same sentence. “Atlus is terrible at marketing” and in the same breath “I got people who think it’s an xbox exclusive”. LMAO that means they’re doing their job correctly , genius! The whole point of a marketing deal!

That has a huge chance since Metaphor was officially introduced there. I know the project was announced a while back, but Metaphor still counts as the title wasn’t around until then.
