Okay, I know I said this year will be shaping up an era, whether it will change it or end it. This one I was hoping not to be the case. Sad to hear.

I’m sad

Good account so it’s a shame it’s gone

But apparently they were making $1500 a month doing this, I dunno, that sounds like very good money for retweeting gaming news

Damn.

This is what happens when people take it but don’t “return” the favor. It doesn’t only revolve people who doesn’t have a typical job and rely on “donation,” they need acknowledgement. As for change of leadership, yes, I don’t blame anyone to feel concern. It goes for anything, anywhere. Hell, even with Xbox acquisition, despite how good spirited they are.

I think they are trolling by putting a playstation controller in their Xbox tweet.

he did have nearly 1K patreon members though paying between like $1-$5 each so he wasn’t getting nothing in return exactly.

Playstation gamepad is a default gamepad in a lot of ads.

Still I think CMA does not understand the consumer feeling towards the deal and thus they just annoy people more. Probably they feel like they are fighting a good cause.

I’m no finance but it doesn’t sound much. Also, it sounds to me appreciation wasn’t given, like never receive thank you for holding the door. Whatever the case is, it is a shame, but I respect his decision.

Also, worst trick ever. It is Halloween…

Probably just a random stock picture they licenced

The harsh reality is, it’s a thankless job that likely won’t compensate the time you put into it.

You’re basically just aggregating news but without any sort of input, personal feelings or revealing your personality. You create a big disconnect like that and put yourself at a disadvantage in building a relationship with your audience.

It’s harsh but that’s probably the reality that he realized about himself and the content he was doing.

I mean not to be little what he does, but it is really just reposting news from these gaming websites and I’m actually shocked he had that many supporters on patreon. I wish them all the best and hoped they find something that fulfils them more. They maybe should’ve looked into writing stories for one of the gaming media for a more stable income. At the end of the day they will be missed and I hope they have a better more stable income.

Yeah my point is that they were just aggregating news and as much as that is helpful I don’t think people really would pay for something like that, which is why I was shocked how many patreon members they have. I agree and he did say that about the content thing it was about the content and not theirself, which I am sure could have changed if they did more personal content and became a Grubb of sorts.

Let’s be honest, or rather, my personal opinion, but Twitter is the source for gaming news at a rapid speed, especially from him. We hear about the new announcement from not only in the west, but east as well. We get the reviews gathering, interviews, and other sources’ article like VGC and so on. Not to mention, we have folks like Wario64 to handle the sales, which helped me a lot in many occasions. Honestly, that’s why I still use Twitter. Other than that, it can rot in hell.
