Big change and it makes sense to cover all gaming rather than a multi platform brand. It also makes sense not to have your name tied to another popular gaming space . I’ll be honest it thought this site was affiliated with resetera but geared more towards Xbox .
Anyway, it should be business as usual , but hope doesn’t drift away from covering Xbox games since it feels not that many spaces for that
Xbox and Steam review codes are global, always our first preferences. Nintendo and PS5 being region locked is a major p.i.t.a., plus Play Anywhere and Xbox’s ecosystem in general is still preferred for myself, jon, and nick
Not that there was any doubt but good to hear guys, we are all here for the great community/staff anyway so there will be no real change for us. If the new (very cool indeed) name can attract more sensible people that love the medium to the forums and discord then even better…we’re all here to discuss the games and the industry after all and the more the merrier. I also have no doubt that mods will do what is needed to keep this place friendly and toxicity free when the inevitable new wave of users comes.
Hope you guys become even bigger with the new name/direction because we need more good people in the industry.

Good luck, I very much understand the intention. And surely Xbox topics will remain to be a centerpiece of your coverage of news and game reviews, as your readers are very interested in the topic.
I can understand why this is the right move for the site in general but I’m a little bit wary about what it means for the forum long-term. In my view the whole reason for this place to exist is to be a place where you can be positive about Xbox without being hassled or making anyone angry. (It sucks that that’s a thing that needs to specifically exist in the first place, but here we are.) If this place becomes just another place to discuss all video games with no brand affiliation 
… I get it’s not going to change overnight but for me it just potentially loses part of the reason I even post here. Don’t mean to be a downer but just wanted to put my thoughts out there.
Think the mods here are pretty clear on people coming here just to troll the Xbox fanbase - they get banned.
So it’ll continue to be a safe place to be an Xbox fan, and most of us are now old enough to pity the weirdo little console warriors anyway…

One is ecstatic to see an Xbox site now needing to cover its main rival to help with numbers since the Xbox brand is in such decline. I would imagine, despite the brave face one puts on it… you aren’t happy with the situation

Was nice to have a dedicated Xbox forum again after Teamxbox’s demise. Sad to see that go, but as long as I can continue to discuss Xbox here without it becoming a total shitshow I’m good!
Is the forum closing tomorrow ?? What are you trying to achieve here ?
They explained why they did this, teased it for a long time, announced it and adressed any concerns.
Maybe you guys should watch the show and the dedicated video before complaining.
